Out Of Hundreds Of Walks ...

  Out of hundreds of walks, I like to tell about the latest, the one that always happens on Wednesdays.
  
  To be better understood it must be placed in its coordinates. I mean, the place where it happens.

It is happening in Bucharest, Romania. Bucharest is the capital and largest city in Romania. I recently learned that there are almost four million inhabitants, which to me seems unbelievable. I knew he had at most two million. Anyway, four million is an unofficial figure and I don't think it's real. There will be a census this year and so we will know exactly the correct number. Bucharest is the city where I live.
  
  I live in a suburb, on the outskirts of town. Fortunately! It is less crowded and less polluted. I have recently learned that my city is very polluted. There are almost one and a half million cars and the pollution industry, so it is better to live on the outskirts or even outside the city.

The city life is in the center. I rarely go there last. This Wednesday I took a walk in the center with a precise purpose. I went to a cafe that a friend recommended.
  
  I like downtown because there are many streets and old buildings, built at the beginning of the last century when Bucharest was called Little Paris. That's because Paris was then the model of city development.
  
  I went first to Calea Victoriei, my favorite boulevard. It is called the "victory path" because the troops passed after winning the war of independence (against the Ottoman Empire) in 1877.

  One of the buildings I like is the White Church. I still wonder why it's called that! ... ha, ha.

I like old houses. There are many such houses. Built by the boyars and aristocrats from ancient times. Many are almost abandoned, they were bought by all kinds of people who want to turn them into restaurants and casinos. Because they did not receive construction permits, they let them degrade. It's a bad image for the city.

  Here are some other places that appear in my path ...
  
  An independent theater, founded by Marcel Iures, one of the few Romanian actors who played in western films, such as Mission Impossible. It's a very small theater.

  Artists' galleries and shops, here is a shop of a very well-known artist who works more with glass.

  There is also a market. Amzei Market. It was a famous market in Bucharest but a few years ago it was modernized and, very strange, it lost its fame ... and the customers! However, you can buy some flowers and fruits.

  I approach the target. Behind the market is Mendeleev Street. On this street is the cafe I am looking for. The cafe is called the Front Room and is in an old and beautiful house. Reconditioned, of course.

  The interior of the cafe is arranged in such a way as to remind us of the last century. There are a lot of objects used in the past.

  I liked it, both the atmosphere in the cafe and the coffee and tea. I'm glad I discovered this place, I will come here many times from now on.

You give such beautiful walks, Dan! @Bluemoon I am sorry I have been absent, but, steemit won't let me post and Steempeak has locked me out. I cannot get in anywhere, and I have been too busy at work to try to fix it. 

Aside from that, Bucharest is such an amazing city and how lucky for you to be a part of such an interesting history and to walk among the beauty of the architecture. I know you appreciate it well and I love the small touches with the cafe and the coffee to drink. They put such wonderfully fancy toppings on them. I always like when they do them this way.
