#### **What are your current values?**

Values are those qualities that within the existing society have a great importance. They help us to understand what a person thinks and how he/she can behave according to his/her thoughts and the context in which he/she works.

For this occasion, I want to talk a little about the values that are present in my current life, which are the most important to me and what I appreciate in people on a daily basis.

Los valores son esas cualidades que dentro de la sociedad existente tienen una importancia grande. Estos nos ayudan a comprender que piensa la persona y como la misma puede comportarse de acuerdo a sus pensamientos en consecuencia al contexto en el que se desempeñe.

Para esta ocasión, quiero hablar un poco sobre los valores que se mantienen presentes dentro de mi vida actual, cuales son los más importantes para mí y que aprecio en las personas en el día a día.

First of all, I want to say that I have acquired many of these values throughout my life and my personal growth. Some of the values listed here have more weight according to situations that have arisen and have caused a change in the way of thinking, shifting one over another.

For this segment, we are going to list in order from least important to most important the values that govern my life and that I consider to have more weight in people.

**5. Love / Patience**: Yes, I'm cheating a bit by placing both in one but now let's explain why hahahahahahahahaha. Love is one of the most important values for a person, that says how much you can get to appreciate a person unconditionally, which is directly linked, at least for me, to a great patience, because it is said that a love is patient to his loved one. 

Patience goes hand in hand with love as I have learned over the years that the more you love, the more you are patient with the person.

I consider myself to be a very patient person and **when I love, I love without thought and without regrets**.

En primer lugar, quiero decir que muchos de estos valores los he ido adquiriendo a lo largo de mi vida y de mi crecimiento personal. Algunos de los valores listados aquí tienen más peso de acuerdo a situaciones que se han presentado y han provocado un cambio en la forma de pensar, cambiando de lugar uno sobre otro.

Para este segmento, vamos a ir listando de orden de menos importante a más importante los valores que rigen mi vida y que considero con más peso en las personas.

**5. Amor / Paciencia**: Si, estoy haciendo un poco de trampa al situar ambos en uno solo pero ahora vamos a explicar porque hahahahahahaha. El amor es una de los valores más importantes para una persona, eso dice que tanto puedes llegar a apreciar a una persona de manera incondicional, lo cual va directamente vinculado, al menos para mí, a una gran paciencia, pues se dice que un amor es paciente a su ser amado. 

La paciencia va de la mano con el amor pues he aprendido a través de los años que mientras más se ama, más se es paciente con la persona.

Me considero una persona bastante paciente y que **cuando ama, ama sin detenimiento, sin pensares y sin remordimientos**.

**4. Firmness / Perseverance**: For this pair of values, I think they go completely hand in hand because one depends on the other. Firmness to have an upright posture and a good base to be resistant to any adversity that life presents and perseverance to never give up and to be able to work following our dreams. 

I believe that these values complement each other and therefore, one is implicitly attached to the other. This value has allowed me to be resilient in the face of the strong storms that have happened in my life, giving me the ability to continue forward without giving up regardless of the situation.

**3. Humility**: we are already in the top 3 hahahahahahaha, for me, this is one of the most important values in any person. To my understanding, this value dictates the ease of the person to see things, understand and care about the good of others regardless of their economic condition and putting aside material goods.

This was instilled in me thanks to my mother directly, who has held to a stance of seeing people exactly for who they are, not for what they wear, have or look like. Therefore, I credit her with the achievement of having given me a little of her humility to be able to develop it in my daily life.

**4. Firmeza / Perseverancia**: Para esta pareja de valores, pienso que van completamente de la mano pues uno depende del otro. Firmeza para tener una postura erguida y una buena base para ser resistente ante cualquier adversidad que presente la vida y perseverancia para nunca rendirnos y poder trabajar siguiendo nuestros sueños. 

Considero que estos valores se complementan y por tanto, uno va de forma implícita pegado al otro. Este valor me ha permitido ser resistente ante las fuertes tormentas que han pasado en mi vida, dándome la capacidad de continuar hacia adelante sin rendirme independientemente de la situación.

**3. Humildad**: ya estamos en el top 3 hahahahahaha, para mí, este es uno de los valores más importantes en cualquier persona. A mi entender, este valor dicta la facilidad de la persona ver las cosas, entender y preocuparnos por el bien de los demás independientemente de su condición económica y haciendo a un lado los bienes materiales.

Esto fue inculcado en mí gracias a mi madre directamente, quien se ha mantenido en una postura de ver a las personas exactamente por lo que son, no por lo que visten, tienen o aparentan. Por eso, a ella le atribuyo el logro de haberme brindado un poco de su humildad para poder desarrollarla en mi vida cotidiana.

**2. Empathy**: the ability to place oneself in the context of another person and be able to understand their actions. For me this is one of the essential values in a person who wants to grow day by day.

This value gives us the ability to understand the actions of people who could influence us.

In my personal opinion, this value has been quite important in my daily life and has been able to represent a change after I was able to understand, thanks to a particular person, the meaning of what true empathy is. From here, I was able to better interpret the situations that happened to me, to identify emotions that another person could feel, to understand how he/she feels beyond what was happening, regardless of how his/her action made me feel.

This provided an exponential growth in my personal development that helped me to take a better path than the one I was on.

**2. Empatía**: la capacidad de situarse en el contexto de otra persona y poder comprender sus acciones. Para mi este es uno de los valores imprescindibles en una persona que desee crecer día a día.

Este valor nos brinda la capacidad de poder comprender las acciones de personas que pudiesen influir en nosotros.

En mi opinión personal, este valor ha sido bastante importante dentro de mi vida diaria y ha podido representar un cambio luego de que pude comprender gracias a una persona en particular el significado de lo que es la verdadera empatía. A partir de aquí, pude interpretar mejor las situaciones que me acontecían, identificar emociones que podía sentir otra persona, entender cómo se siente más allá de acuerdo a lo que pasaba, independientemente de cómo me hiciera sentir su acción.

Esto proporciono un crecimiento exponencial en mi desarrollo personal que me ayudo a llevar una trayectoria mejor a la que llevaba.

And finally, within this top...

**1. Sincerity / Honesty**: for me the star value of a person, a sincere person is able to tell you everything they feel without the need to mold any situation or event to their convenience.  Honesty comes to play a fundamental role since it **allows us to speak sincerely without the need to lie**.

I say this personally because I have known people who get to say what they feel sincerely all the time, but they do it using lies as a base tool. That's why a sincerity must be supported by an honesty that backs it up in order to see the whole picture of what the other person is going through.

Many times we have problems with a person and no matter how much trust we have with that person, we avoid talking for fear of being judged, which I consider to be a blunder.

Something we should always do is **talk about everything we feel in any type of relationship** beyond being acquaintances with someone, whether it is friendship, dating, family.  
All this because conversation is the key to the resolution of any particular problem we have.

Y por último, dentro de este top...

**1. Sinceridad / Honestidad**: para mí el valor estrella de una persona, una persona sincera es capaz de decirte todo lo que siente sin necesidad de moldear ninguna situación o acontecimiento a su conveniencia.  La honestidad viene a jugar un papel fundamental ya que **nos permite hablar de manera sincera sin necesidad de mentir**.

Lo digo de forma personal porque he conocido personas que llegan a decir lo que sienten de forma sincera todo el tiempo, pero lo hacen utilizando las mentiras como herramienta base. Por eso, una sinceridad debe ir apoyada de una honestidad que la respalde para poder ver el panorama completo de lo que la otra persona esté viviendo.

Muchas veces tenemos problemas con una persona y por más confianza que exista con la misma, evitamos hablar por miedo a ser juzgados, lo cual considero que es un error garrafal.

Algo que debemos hacer siempre es **hablar todo lo que sintamos en cualquier tipo de relación** más allá de ser conocido con alguien, ya sea amistad, noviazgo, familiar.  
Todo esto debido a que la conversación es la clave para la resolución de cualquier problema en particular que tengamos presente.

Such wonderful values, if most humans can try to adequately exhibit this qualities,the world would certainly be a better place.

We have to love and be patience, we need to be humble we need to be sincere among others.

Realmente los valores son los que nos mantienen en una convivencia más sana y nos hace mejores seres humanos. Comparto los valores que para ti son los más importantes sobretodo la empatía que tanta falta le hace a la sociedad , colocarse en el lugar de otro es fundamemtal para que nazca el respeto.
