#### **5 questions about Hive**
I must admit that despite not having much time, doing these assignments for the Hive initiative is always very pleasant and helps me to learn a lot.
In this case, being able to create questions that arise for me to translate them into content that contributes to the community is something that I find very rewarding and this time we are going to work with 5 basic questions.
Let's get started.

#### **5 preguntas sobre Hive**
Debo admitir que a pesar de no contar con mucho tiempo, el realizar estas asignaciones de la iniciativa de Hive siempre me resulta muy placentero y me ayuda a aprender mucho.
En este caso, el poder crear preguntas que me surgen para plasmarlas como contenido que aporte a la comunidad es algo que me resulta bastante gratificante y en esta ocasión vamos a trabajar con 5 preguntas base.
Comencemos.

**1-What is Hive Power?**
For this case, I have searched the information directly from Hive.wiki in which the information found corresponds to Steem Power or SP but I understand that the only thing that changes with respect to steem is its terminology.
According to the definition extracted from hive.wiki:
"*STEEM Power is what gives you influence in Steemit. The more SP you have, the more money you give to authors with an upvote, as well as the more healing rewards you can earn. There is a small "interest" fee you earn for having STEEM Power.*"

For this case, I understand that the Steem terms may correspond to the Hive part, directly indicating to us that Hive Power corresponds to the value that a person's vote has on another person's posts, referring that the higher Hive Power one has, the higher value this will be reflected in the posts we vote on.

**1-¿Qué es el Hive Power?**
Para este caso, he buscado la información directamente desde Hive.wiki en la cual la información encontrada corresponde a Steem Power o SP pero entiendo que lo único que cambia con respecto a steem es su terminología.
De acuerdo a la definición extraída desde hive.wiki:
"*STEEM Power es lo que te da influencia en Steemit. Cuanto más SP tengas, más dinero darás a los autores con un upvote, así como mayores serán las recompensas de curación que puedes ganar. Hay una pequeña tasa de "interés" que se gana por tener STEEM Power.*"

Para este caso, entiendo que los terminos de Steem pueden corresponder a la parte de Hive, indicandonos directamente que el Hive Power corresponde al valor que tiene el voto de una persona en los posts de otra, refiriendose que mientras se tenga un Hive Power más alto, esto se reflejará en un valor más alto en las publicaciones que votemos.

Let's go to question number 2:
**2-What is a whale in Hive?**.
According to the definition extracted from hive.wiki:
"*WHALE is known as an investor or a group of investors that owns a large amount of shares, currencies, stake or securities in a certain platform, business, company or investment*."

For this case, I can understand as Whale a user with great purchasing power within any platform that has equally shares or a high reputation.
Similarly, within the Hive.wiki portal, 3 main concepts are mentioned in which the influence of a whale can be divided:
- High amount of Hive Power.
- High reputation, which directly influences the people who are voted by this user.
- A combination of both of the above aspects, this can increase the reputation of the voted author and make his publication worth even more.

**3-What other platforms are linked to the Hive ecosystem?**

Vamos con la pregunta número 2:
**2-¿Qué es una ballena en Hive?**
De acuerdo a la definición extraída desde hive.wiki:
"*Se conoce como BALLENA a un inversor o un grupo de inversionistas que posee gran cantidad de acciones, monedas, participación o valores en una determinada plataforma, negocio, empresa o inversión*"

Para este caso, puedo entender como Ballena a un usuario con gran poder adquisitivo dentro de cualquier plataforma que disponga de igual forma de acciones o una alta reputacion.
De igual forma, dentro del portal de Hive.wiki, se mencionan 3 conceptos principales en los que se puede dividir la influencia de una ballena:
- Gran cantidad de Hive Power.
- Alta reputación, la cual influye directamente en las personas que son votadas por este usuario.
- Una combinación de ambos aspectos anteriores, esto puede incrementar la reputación del autor votado y hacer que su publicación valga aún más.

**4-What does the term "Curate" mean?**
In the case of this question, I received the answer from my dear @tripode who explained to me in a simple way that cure refers to the term to give upvote to a publication, with this I can understand that it refers to the part in which we verify a publication of some other user, we give upvote and if possible we make a comment.
This is part of the basic concepts that we must have within Hive to start on the right foot and understand the conversations that our colleagues have within the community in case of holding meetings.
**5-How to invest in Hive?**
For this last question, I am quite curious because despite searching and searching the networks I could not find anything that would help me to understand in a solid way how to do it. Therefore, this question is left open for possible answers that can be provided in the comments of this post.

**4-¿Qué significa el término "Curar"?**
En el caso de esta pregunta, recibí la respuesta de mi querida @tripode quien me explicó de forma sencilla que curar se refiere al termino de dar upvote a una publicación, con esto puedo entender que se refiere a la parte en la cual verificamos una publicación de algún otro usuario, damos upvote y si es posible realizamos un comentario.
Esto forma parte de los conceptos base que debemos disponer dentro de Hive para iniciar con buen pie y entender las conversaciones que tengan nuestros colegas dentro de la comunidad en caso de sostener reuniones.
**5-¿Cómo invertir en Hive?**
Para esta última pregunta, tengo bastante curiosidad ya que a pesar de buscar y buscar por las redes no pude encontrar algo que me ayudara a entender de forma sólida como hacerlo. Por ello, esta pregunta queda abierta para posibles respuestas que puedan ser provistas en los comentarios de esta publicación.
