Traditional job search strategies have a certain number of negative downsides, including:

•	Taking a long time
•	Increasing your stress and frustration
•	Uncertainty -- Being hit or miss 
•	Generating fear 
•	Zapping your Confidence 

A traditional job search is itself a job. It takes a tremendous amount of effort and time. However, as mentioned above, a number of negative downsides may accompany that effort. These downsides may include long hours searching websites and databases; an endless cycle of networking; a number of trips to the copy facility for resumes; and an endless round of fruitless interviews. After all this hard work, there is still the fear and uncertainty. There is still the gnawing feeling that it won’t work this time either
.
You may have the uneasy feeling that your fate, your job (or no job), is in the hands of others. You may feel that your fate is left to the whim of others. You may be left with a sinking sense of powerlessness.

When you step up to the plate and create your own job, the game may completely change. Positive change may occur when you make a direct, person-to-person call to the Universe. When you go about your traditional job search, with the awesome power of the Universe behind you, your job search becomes almost effortless. Events or milestones on the way to a job begin to happen on purpose rather than by “accident.” 
Whatever you do will take diligence and focus, but there is a way to:

•	Minimize the psychological, emotional drain, and uncertainty
•	Put you in the driver’s seat
•	Put you in charge of your destiny (not others)

Even today, after many, many years, I remember the hopelessness, the emptiness, the utter powerlessness I felt, when I finally had to face the fact and admit that my once promising, exciting, job was headed toward a complete dead end. This realization brought back all the pain of being unemployed and underemployed for one and one-half years before my first professional job after graduating from college

Fortunately, I stumbled upon two important principles – *the Law of Attraction and the power of List Technology.* Afterwards, I used these principles to create one of the best jobs of my forty years in Corporate America. I recently found a way to teach others the same process I used to create my ideal job. That process underlies the seven steps to getting a job no matter what. This article discusses those steps. 

Utilizing the Law of Attraction-based seven steps for getting a job has proven (by myself and many others) to deliver powerful, quick, and effective results. The Seven Step Job Acquisition System consists of the following seven elements, as follows:
1	Guided Meditation
2 	Determining What You Want
3 	Making a Commitment or Declaration
4 	Creating a Vision of Your Ideal Job
5 	Exercising the Power of Affirmations
6 	Taking the Practical, Traditional Job Search Actions
7 	Establishing a Daily Practice
