This is one that makes ya think...There are so many qualities that are important. Perhaps one of the qualities seen as a negative trait/quality which is obviously not considered very important in most circles is sarcasm.

Sarcasm is often considered rude or mean to the person who is receiving the reaction. Sarcasm is a reaction to someone else's comment/action that basically says, "I'm not as dumb as you're making me look" or "You're much dumber than you look." I grew up in a household where humor was smiled upon (see what I did there?). It was encouraged and supported, even if the humor was a little naughty. I've spent a lifetime trying to break the crude humor from my quick wittiness. Sarcasm is a reaction that can bring huge laughter, but most often at the expense of others. It's a public shaming, if you will. Because of this, it is not seen as a good talent and an unimportant skill.

However...

Someone who is good at sarcasm is often creative and quick-witted. They are likely to be someone you would want in an emergency situation as they're able to come up with creative solutions in mere moments when they're most needed. Of course, you can't guarantee that a sarcastic person will be able to solve life's problems in the blink of an eye, I'm just saying that within the parameters of this #bloggingchallenge, I think it is something that if you can be successfully sarcastic at any elevated regularity, you're likely a quick-witted individual...I could be totally wrong...

I do find humor in sarcasm and my wife consistently reminds me to not teach it to my children...it's something I'm working on...What are your thoughts?
