Back to normality in the AK

After a wild weekend in Naknek, Ak performing in the bars I have to get back to my normal life.  It is a bit entertaining to me that my normal life is trading crypto and Steemit, I am lucky that my normal, is not the normal.
This weekend the music festival directly coincided with the end of the red salmon season, and let me tell you things got wild.  Most of the fishermen reported a profitable season, and where all moneyed up for a long weekend in Naknek.  There are only three flights a day out of Naknek airport and charter flights are already booked by the canneries to ship out fish and cannery workers,  so needless to say the bars are full for a bit.  There were large bar fights every night, trash talkin, beer throwin, wild shows at the red dog saloon every night, everything that you would come to expect in a small town at the end of a good fishing season.

I've been up here in Barrow all week. Looking forward to go home tomorrow night. Sunday I actually got a pretty wicked sunburn hanging out at Jewell Lake. This afternoon we took our newest coworker to take the polar bear plunge in the Artic Ocean.  He made the swim in the brisk 37 degree air. Great times.
