Dazhdbog - Dab, Radegast, Radigosh, Svarojic - these are different variants of the name of the same god. God of fertility and sunlight, life-giving force. He is considered the ancestor of the Slavs (the Slavs in the text "Words about the Host of Igor" - dazhbozhii grandsons).
According to Slavic legends, Dazhdbog and Zhiva together revived the world after the Flood. Lada, Zhiva's mother, married Dazhbog and Zhiva with marriage. Then the betrothed gods gave birth to Aria, according to legends, the progenitor of many Slavic peoples - Czechs, Croats, Kiev glades.
Was honored on this day and Yarilo (Sun), the face of Dazhdbog, the revival of nature. Yara's God was often compared to the plowman and warrior Ariem, the son of Dazhbog. Arius was revered, like Yar, the incarnation of the Rod (in other interpretations - Veles or Dazhbog).
On Dazhbog day people rejoiced that Dazhdbog rejected Marena and got engaged to Zhiva. This meant the end of the long Winter, the beginning of Spring and Summer. At that time, Dazhboga was loudly praised in the Vedic temples and on plowed fields.

It was believed that on that day the god Veles had stolen from Perun the cloud-cows and imprisoned them in the mountains of the Caucasus. Because Yar, Dazhdbog and Perun asked to rescue the clouds, otherwise all life on Earth will perish. Glorify on this day the victory of Rainbog over Velez.

With such a verdict, young people went round the courtyards early in the morning on the day when the first time after a long and cold winter the cattle were solemnly expelled to the pasture, to the so-called Yarilinu dew.
Before the pasture of cattle, the owners stroked the animals along the ridge, dyed in red or yellow-green, with an egg, which the shepherd then gifted. After that, the cattle were driven out by a willow branch into the yard and fed with "biachkas" - special loaves. Before the pasture from the yard under the feet of cattle laid out a girdle so that it crossed over it. This was done so that the cattle knew the way home. They grazed the cattle before the dew dried.
They asked Yarila - the Patron of the Shepherds, the Guard of the Livestock and the Wolf Shepherd - to protect the cattle from any predatory beast.
The shepherd buzzes in the horn, informing the people about the beginning of the ritual of "circumvention", after which, picking up the sieve, three walks around the herd of salted (for life) and thrice anti-salt (to death).
After properly conducted ritual, an invisible magic fence formed around the herd, which protected "from the snake creeping, from the bear of the mighty, from the wolf of the fleeing." Then the magic circle was closed with an iron lock.
On this day, an important ceremony was also held - the Discovery of the Earth, or in another way - Zarod. On this day Yarila "unlocks" (impregnates) the Mother Cheese-Earth and releases the dew, after which the rapid growth of herbs begins.
On Yarilu plowing arable land, they said: "A lazy plow is leaving for Yarylo."
From this day spring weddings began. Men and women rode the fields, hoping to become strong and healthy with the help of miraculous dew. The evening ended with a general celebration.
