  **Strong May** The past month saw a very strong v-shaped recovery of the S&P 500 index after the sell off in April. We are almost back at the old highs, closing the month at **5911** points, ATH was at 6147 back in February. **But…** Now we are at a turning point since the tariff negotiatians are loosing momentum, China and the EU still with no deal at the horizon. The US administration has to close deals or we well see a big comeback of tariffs and the big board which has been put away for thoe 90 days. My best guess is that we will see volatiliy come back until we have something fixed and secured. Only then we could even see sustainable upwards momentum and maybe new highs this year. Even more if the Fed continues to lower rates. We will see. Macro narratives are the main driver of the markets right now. And US politics as the big player is hard to predict.
