Diffraction
[**Diffraction**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffraction) is literally broken, fractured, enveloping obstacles with waves. You probably noticed that when photographing from point-like luminous objects, rays emanate. An interesting fact is that the number of rays depends on the number of petals of the aperture of the photographic lens. 
#### If the number of petals of the diaphragm is even, the number of rays will be equal to the number of these petals. 
#### In the case where the number of petals is odd, the number of rays is equal to the double number of petals.
