# I think having the option to write a memo when resteeming a post that can be seen by our followers next to our user name would be a great new feature for Steemit.

Today I decided to resteem a post by @good-karma. It was a post that called for translators to help add more languages to the [eSteem app](https://steemit.com/esteem/@good-karma/esteem-calling-for-volunteer-translators-update-7-giveback-rewards). I've been trying to translate the English terms into Japanese for this project, but I feel the task is a little beyond my ability. I think it is something that would be much better left to a native speaker, or a person with native level writing abilities.   

The number of Steemit users in Japan is still low, and I think many people would like to see that number grow. Having a functional mobile application with quality Japanese instructions could really help pave the way for the adoption of Steemit in Japan. 

I follow and am followed by some Japanese speakers on Steemit and I thought that by resteeming @good-karma's post I might be able to help recruit some translators for the project. It's possible that merely resteeming this post was enough and that someone who can help saw it and will do so, but still, I can't help but think, if there had been a comment section where I could have explained in Japanese why I was resteeming this post, it would have been much more effective. 

In generall, I think seeing a short memo describing why a post has been resteemed would greatly increase the chances of a resteemed post being read. Speaking for myself, I often glance at the resteemed posts in my feed, but if they don't have an intriguing title or cover picture, or if I'm not very familiar with the user who has resteemed the post, or if they aren't about a subject that interests me at that moment, chances are I won't open it. 

As Steemit is a platform with a global audience, I think that adding a comment section to the resteeming process would greatly help content that is relevant on a global level reach a larger number of language communities.
