The Blockchain is a great technology and for the time being we can expect that emergent nature of the community will overcome all the bans, governments and restrictions and to continuously change technology on its way. 

Having said this it's very difficult to bet on the right crypto, which one will be the one that will solve the specific issue of the moment?

My suggestion would be to:
* yes spend time to select cryptos and tokens, look at graphs and read about teams and regulation
* but always maintain a portfolio of cryptos so that you are not too exposed to idiosyncratic risk

I guess for us the small-timer speculators, traders and investors, this is part and parcel of being involved in a very new market. Other countries might also follow China and announce their stance in the near future.

These are growing-up pains and something which we must take into account and make contingencies for. The crypto market will continue to be volatile due to these events. But these could also be opportunities.

Bad news, assuming there is any truth to the rumour.  I like Yunbi as an exchange.

Most of this rumors are FUD spread by big investors trying to buy BTC cheap... Thats it...

FUD is in the air! Time to get your umbrellas out cause we are looking at a serious FUDDER storm here. 

Ulterior motives at play???

The recent ICO restrictions in China, regardless of the rumors, look to be having devastating affects on domestic exchanges. YunBi may be the first major Chinese exchange to shutdown since the ICO ban.  
How do you think other major exchanges such as Binance and BTCC will be affected?  Binance has a growing international user base, but it seems no-one is really safe.   
In spite of all the FUD, blockchain technology is here to stay.

all the news recently are making me. SAD SAD SAD
I know block chains are good, I know its the future of technology, I know its going to recover soon
but I seem not to be able to explain this to my heart!!!

I think many users are feeling the same things I am feeling :(

This is very concerning to the short term value of bitcoin and all the altcoins (as we saw last Monday and Friday). The good news is that many of the upcoming exchanges should work in China not matter what Chinese official policy is. Thanks for all your work. I appreciate it. I have started writing articles on these subjects too.
