I was planning to go Beijing for this conference, but unfortunate its been postponed with no clear date on when it'll be delayed to or where it will be held.

Bitkan has decided to delay the "2017 Shape the Future - Global Blockchain Summit" that was originally scheduled to take place in Beijing on the 10th of September. The reason for the abrupt delay is due to an "upgraded requirement for public security" in Beijing. The Summit was to feature key members of the Chinese mining community, such as Jihan Wu along with international speakers such as Evan Duffield (Dash Core), Roger Ver (Bitcoin.com) and John McAfee. Currently, it is unknown when this conference will be scheduled to and if it will be relocated. The following notice was sent out to participants of the Summit:

We are really sorry to inform you that our "2017 Shape the Future - Global Blockchain Summit" （which was scheduled on 10th September）may have to delay and change a city because of the upgrade requirement for public security at Beijing during this month. According to the sudden notice of government, we have to decide to delay our summit and choose another city to host.
The exact date and place will officially inform later in the near future through email.

This is the second Blockchain conference in Beijing to be abruptly postponed this month, with the first being the DACA summit, which was meant to be held in Beijing from 2nd Sept to 3rd Sept.

# Possible Chinese Government Intervention?

Recently there have been rumors that the Central Government in China will issue how new regulations regarding ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings). Whilst the exact nature of these rulings are unclear, it seems that these rumors have had a profound effect on the ICO eco-system in China. Earlier this week, ICOINFO decided to suspend its services for an unknown amount of time. This was followed by the cancellation of 1 ICO launch on Binance. More importantly, ICOage has also suspended operations.
