## What Is Wealth?

"Wealth measures the value of all the assets of worth owned by a person, community, company, or country. Wealth is determined by taking the total market value of all physical and intangible assets owned, then subtracting all debts. Essentially, wealth is the accumulation of scarce resources.

Specific people, organizations, and nations are said to be wealthy when they are able to accumulate many valuable resources or goods. Wealth can be contrasted with income in that wealth is a stock and income is a flow, and it can be seen in either absolute or relative terms."

## What’s the difference between income and wealth?

"Income and wealth are both key indicators of financial security for a family or an individual. Income is the sum of earnings from a job or a self-owned business, interest on savings and investments, payments from social programs and many other sources. That is a lot of quoting this morning. But I needed to educate myself and you. I have hear Task talk about the differnece between wealth and income many times. But you know with our busy lives some times what you hear and you read quickly does not stick. I am about to give my personal thoughts on building wealth to generate income. That sounds backwards, most people use their income to live and hopefully generate wealth.

## Building wealth on Hive

Like most people I would assume here on Hive, I have been treading water. I feel like I have been threading water for the last 4 years on the blockchain. Trying to figure out what I am doing, what I want to do, and how Hive is going to help me in the future.

I have always made statements like I want Hive to be part of my retirement plan. But how am I going to get there? Besides showing up every single day, and posting every single day like I have done for the last 1489 days.

I have a lot of pans in the fire, as they say. I believe over the last few weeks things are coming together for me, in my brain, and here on Hive. I believe I have a plan for building my worth, building my wealth here on Hive.

The biggest wealth we can have is our reputation. As I aproch 75 reputation, 74.955 I am trying to step up my value to others on the blockchain. My value, the things I am doing on Hive that people want, want to see, want to read, want to engage, want to upvote, want to invest in, is going to build my wealth.

## LEO FINANCE

I giant part of building my wealth on Hive now is Leo Finance. Without question. Would you believe I only got serious about Leo 9 months ago. Yes it was December 2022 where I finially realized the value of this community. I jumped into the deep end. 

I don't know for sure but I think I started 2023 with around 1000 Leo Power. Now I am over 7K and have a goal of 10K by the end of this year.
I try to write at least one post to Leo a day (sometimes I fail but I don't stop).

I have made every single LPUD so far in 2023 and plan on doing them till I no longer qualify. 

On the 31st Aug I finially delegated HP to @leo.voter. Last evening I received my first Leo from the voter account. I am over the moon excited about this. I just wish I had more Hive Power to delegate. But that will come with time.

## What else am I doing on Hive

I am trying to build my value, my wealth.

My biggest project, the one I am most proud of is BBH. Between the @hive-112281 and @bbhbot accounts. I call it building BBH. If you don't know, BBH is a tipping bot and it is an income token.

Every Satrday BBH through the @bbhbot account gives a drip, passive income, to owners of BBH. Today a record 781 people recieved either some swap.hive, $LEO or Alive tokens.

I am a giant believer that if you want to build weath for yourself you have to help others build wealth. And that is my end goal for BBH.

I have a [Hive-Engine Witness](https://primersion.com/he-witnesses) node. It is run with this account but it is for Building BBH in the long term. It currently runs at a loss but I fund that. The goal is to get it to profit and all profits will be funeled into helping build BBH. Need to get into the top 20 witnesses. I am sure I am forgetting somethings but the post is running nice and long.

I will worry about my income from Hive, after I have built my worth and people on Hive think I am worthwhile.
