Some people would call this sucking up but I am just being honest.

In his latest post under his @taskmaster4450 account: [Hive Is Getting Closer To Going Hyperbolic](https://leofinance.io/@taskmaster4450/hive-is-getting-closer-to-going-hyperbolic) one of the things he talks about is Smart Contracts. 

I just got home and on the drive, on the radio they were talking about the use of AI in writing and how it can be good. I had not logged into ChatGPT in some time and I now see version 3.5 is free. So I asked it about Smart contracts.  It is below for your education.

Smart contracts are self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement directly written into code. 

These contracts run on blockchain technology, a decentralized and distributed ledger system, which ensures transparency, security, and immutability. Here are key features of smart contracts:

7. Decentralization: Smart contracts operate in a decentralized manner, meaning they are not controlled by a single entity or authority. This reduces the risk of manipulation or censorship.

Item number six above really accentuates what Task was talking about in his post.
 
Smart contracts are coming to Hive. When we don’t know for sure but they are coming. Along with it it will bring people that have never been here before.
 It is a awesome thing.

## HIVEFEST

I read a tweet or what do you call it now? A post on X? By @theycallmedan. It was a link to a post by @gabbygolden. This is the first time I have been to her blog. But fromnwhat I got quickly she must be helping with HiveFest down in Mexico.

The thing that really struck me about reading the post was the non blockchain part. It reminded me of one of the reasons I am here on Hive. And that is because I believe Hive changes lives. And if you have been doing any reading of my posts and others you will know how much Hive members are doing offline to help human kind. As Hive grows this will also grow. 

She talks about 4 great reasons to visit Mexico. Well after the video about Hivefest. But that is the way to do it. To promote where you are from. 

I am sure Hivefest will bring some short term economic benefits to her area of Mexico. But if the Hivers get out and about,  and Mexicans go to Hivefest to learn. The economic impact of Hive could be felt for years to  come. 

It is all apart of growing our blockchain.  The more people the better. We have to keep showing the world what Hive has to offer.

## SLOW PROCESS 

Again if you read Tasks post that I referenced at the start of this post you will know or be educated in how much building of infrastructure that still has to be done before we can or before Hive will become mainstream.  It is good we are still small as the foundation is still being laid.

Just remember being a founder is a great feeling. I don’t mean I or you founded Hive, I mean a lot of us that have been here for awhile will be looked upon as founders 5 or 10 years down the road.
Just because Hive is not ready to go parabolic yet does not mean we should not spread the word.

## NETWORK EFFECT 

In closing and with what I just talked about in the couple paragraphs above I went to ask ChatGPT about NETWORK effect.

In other words, the more users a network or platform has, the more valuable it becomes to both existing and new users. Are we ready for this yet on Hive? It is coming. Only the past, when we look back, will we truly understand when it happened.
