## LEOFINANCE DHF

To my surprise this evening, when I checked the [DHF PROPOSAL](https://peakd.com/me/proposals/269) it was back to 100 percent.

Excellent work everyone. But now is not the time to slack. We have to keep spreading the word, and keep getting more support. So it stays funded for the duration.

How did the LeoFinance team pull this off? I am only taking an educated guess but I believe it is because of the daily posts they started writing.

Going into details and depth of how and why they are going to double the Hive MAUs (Monthly Active Users). Note I said Hive and not Leo.

Leo is a community, a layer two token. What is awesome for Leo is awesome for Hive.

Keep education going.

## HBD HIVE INTEREST RATES

I am not going into depth on this as @taskmaster4450 did in his article [The APR On HBD Savings Should Not Be Lowered](https://leofinance.io/@taskmaster4450/the-apr-on-hbd-savings-should-not-be-lowered).

But he did, as usual, an excellent job with education.

A couple points he did bring up that makes a lot of sense to me.

"the notion of looking at the APR on $HIVE$0.292 doesn't make a lot of sense when it can go down by 25% (or more). It simply is not an asset that one seeks yield.

That is where HBD enters. This is catering to a different market. Not everyone wants to hold an asset that can decline 70% in a year"

"We have to stop believing that simply changing the tokenomics is going to make something valuable. It doesn't.

What is required is building. For this to take place, people with a mindset need to approach Hive with the idea of creating a business utilizing the base layer features offered. This includes account management, wallet system, HBD for payments, and resource credits for access."

## HIVE EDUCATION

@collinz wrote a fantastic post again today.

He educates on using web 2.0 to educate web 2.0 people about Hive. Read it. He makes some excellent points.

Here are a few quotes from it.

A lot is taking place within the social media landscape, and it has become a world where many people now spend most of their time. This has made it the best place for marketing, conducting business, networking, and socializing"

As much as us Hivers don't want to admit it. We should 100 percent use web 2.0 to promote Hive. Why? The simple answer is that is where the masses still are.

Web 3 and blockchain technology is still an alien concept to many who have been active on most Web 2 platforms."

How true. Try talking to someone about it and see what kind of look, response you get.

"One of the most effective ways to assist others in gaining a deeper understanding of Hive is by targeting a space where a considerable number of people invests a significant amount of time: social media".

I believe this is what the LeoFinance team, in part, will be doing till at least the end of 2024. With the support of the DHF.
