Twitter Buyout

Hi Friends

Apparently the rumors are true and twitter is being bought by Elon Musk for $44 Billion, a small premium over the current price.

 Twitter went public in 2013 and has always had trouble turning a profit.  They did $5 Billion in revenue in 2021 and posted a loss of $221 Million, so not exactly a cash machine.  Paying $44 Billion seems high, but you never know what Musk has planned to add value to the app.

Given Musk’s propensity for Cypto, I see Twitter becoming a hub for crypto projects, defi, discussions, etc - we shall see though. 

Musk may also be looking to control the world, so we shall see how his Twitter buyout helps him accomplish this ;)
