<p>For those that didn't see my last two posts about this possibly being the <a href="https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@brianphobos/bold-statement-we-are-headed-for-the-dead-cat-bounce-a-must-read-for-every-steemian">dead cat bounce</a> to this crypto surge and the fact that I did a <a href="https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@brianphobos/bounced-so-hard-i-did-an-instant-buy">Coinbase Instant Buy</a> to get more fiat money into the game as fast as possible when I saw the crash bounce like a super ball. &nbsp;The Coinbase Instant Buy is terrible and make sure you have some KY Jelly for when you get ravaged by the fees. &nbsp;&nbsp;That being said I did make a little bit of money trading in and out two times. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<h1>As of now I'm sitting in cash on GDAX with that money. &nbsp;&nbsp;This is why. &nbsp;</h1>
<p>I keep looking at the pricing that is going on in China on Houbi and OKCoin and it appears to keep sinking below $3,000. &nbsp;&nbsp;Out on GDAX right now the price is $3,738. &nbsp;&nbsp;That is a pretty big difference and I would think if people would have arbitraged that it would have happened already at this point. So I don't know why it hasn't closed up more than that. &nbsp;</p>
<p>I think the institutional money did their big purchases a couple of days ago so I wouldn't expect huge buy orders coming in this week. &nbsp;&nbsp;Unless a person is a trader and disconnects the price they are purchasing at from the grand scheme of things the price point is a big mental barrier to your everyday Joe Blow. &nbsp;&nbsp;A good chuck of those people are likely shell shocked right now at the drop and are possibly upside down now on their coins. &nbsp;&nbsp;They probably aren't going to average down on their coins. &nbsp;&nbsp;They are likely scared they are going to lose their investment and that is likely money they need in the next couple of months for bills. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<h1>The bounce happened a little sooner than I thought . &nbsp;&nbsp;I was thinking it would get down to $2,900 before we would see the bounce but it happened around $3,000. &nbsp;I was saying $3,600 for it to bounce up to but since it occurred sooner than $2,900 I started thinking it might go to $4,200 but it went just shy of $4,000 on GDAX. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I didn't catch it right away because it shot up so hard and I had to overcome a lot of fees but ultimately I feel good about my cash position with that particular money. &nbsp;&nbsp;</h1>
<p>Again like I said before in the <a href="https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@brianphobos/bold-statement-we-are-headed-for-the-dead-cat-bounce-a-must-read-for-every-steemian">Dead Cat Bounce</a> post, it would be very hard to catch because it will happen fast. &nbsp;&nbsp;I still believe that there is a very good chance this is the Bull Trap or Dead Cat bounce. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>That being said I feel like this is a good time to continue to cost average in on EOS. I just bought more of that today with Steemit earnings. &nbsp;I'm also shocked to see BitShares as low as it has been. &nbsp;With the situation of the Chinese Exchanges shuting down I would feel that people would start gravitating more and more to decentralized exchanges.&nbsp;</p>
<h1>Once again I'm very bullish on this technology and space in the long term but I think it is going to be very hard for Bitcoin to reach a new high anytime soon during this crypto surge. &nbsp;&nbsp;It could end up being years before we see the next crypto rush if history repeats itself. &nbsp;&nbsp;</h1>
<h2>I might be one of the only ones on here saying this on Steemit because it is more profitable to act positive and say that everything is heading for new highs. &nbsp;&nbsp;These are my honest opinions based on experience, looking at long term charts, basing things of the fundamentals, and also the psychology of the unsophisticated investors in this space. &nbsp;</h2>
<h2>You can make a lot of money fast and lose a lot of money fast and most people can't handle that ride. &nbsp;Good luck out there! &nbsp;It could get nasty! &nbsp;</h2>

How is it any different then if you take money from a job or something and then purchase other coins?   It is still work put in ultimately.    The way I always looked at Steemit is that if I can't come in and actually make money and not have to pump in more money than I have taken out it isn't worth it.   

If you were focused on YouTube would it make sense to pump $25,000 into YouTube ads and then only recoup $10,000 in Adsense from your content?   

Personally coming from a situation where I have created content since 2007 I feel that if I have top pump in more money then I can pull out of here it doesn't make sense right now.

Nothing wrong with sitting in cash on GDAX.  I keep a healthy amount there to buy.  Tomorrow should be interesting.  Major updates for ETH, and if BTC starts bullish during the New York open, there is a good chance ETH will break out.  

I'll be watching.  And waiting.

Seems like we got a bump up on some stuff.   The numbers are slightly misleading right now because the prices on CoinMarketCap have now excluded the Chinese exchanges which gives the average a higher mark and then when the calculation is done for the percentage gains it is a bigger jump.   It will be interesting going forward though.

I'm still thinking this is all just a deliberate manipulation and the bankers will be in to make a big profit now they have bought low, so it will go up in the next few weeks - do you think that is fruitloops?

I was also looking for a low of around $2900, and ready to get some fiat in when it hit.  

Unfortunately just missed pulling the trigger, waited too long, and never saw the bounce being that quick and large!

Im gonna wait until $3500 levels before moving that fiat.  I think over the next weeks prices will trend back to around that level, due to uncertainty that hasnt been resolved.

I'm a patient man - I can play the waiting game!

I feel ya.   I pulled out the other night for the second time on the new fiat I bought in for a small profit and then watched the market trend back up yesterday.    It can be nerve racking and the stuff moves so fast that the emotions can be amplified.   

Then last night I was researching Zcoin again and did a post on some of my findings and then today it shot up a couple of bucks.    It is so unpredictable sometimes.    I'm going to try to stack some Zcoin and I'm going to keep stacking STEEM and EOS and just keep going.

Im very interested in EOS, and seriously thinking about grabbing some.  It looks solid tech with strong use case (which is all I really base my investments on).  I wonder if it can truly compete with Ethereum long-term though...?

Up next for me is a small position in DecentBet ICO & maybe a bit more into IOTA.  

If BTC drops to an acceptable entry point any time soon I'll probably hodl a bit more too!
