Would You Pay $20,000 For An EOS Username?

2,500 EOS for the username eos.  That is crazy and I don't know why someone bid that much for it unless they think that people are going to accidentally be sending funds to it all the time.  

People accidentally send money to the @steemit account not understanding how to properly send money to their account.

I wouldn't try to buy accounts shorter than 12 characters because the bidding process doesn't make any sense.  There will only be one account won each day which will be the highest bid out of all the bids.  

### So only 365 accounts will be released over the entire year. That just doesn't make any sense.   

### That being said I'm glad I got in there and registered as many 12 letter accounts as I could because I have more hope that they will be worth something eventually since all of them will get soaked up and it will take so long to get the ones that are less than 12 characters.  We will see in the end.

Well it is getting even crazier.  The ram prices on EOS have shot up and I guess one guy made $500,000 in about a week selling RAM on there.  It is the wild wild west out there for sure!

Thats insane! 2500 dollars will be thrown away just for a username? Its already a treasure for us minnows. In our point of view as a minnow, its not acceptable but if we are going to put ourselves in the shoes of those whales then 2500 dollars is just nothing, lol

well it is 2500 EOS which I guess is more like $18,750 just for the username.   I don't know why they bid so high.  It is ridiculous.   They could have won the bid with way less than that.
