The night was cold and full of a thick fog, Wen was alone at home, because her parents had gone out to one of their many charity dinners and as she was bored with those high society dinners; she preferred to stay and put on her favorite pajamas, light the fireplace in her room and lay down to contemplate the flames of the logs until she fell asleep. She entered at first into a deep, heavy sleep, when suddenly she came to consciousness in the middle of her dream and saw herself in the middle of a great dance with a handsome young man, who was smiling gallantly at her, while making her dance as if she were on a cloud.


Wen saw herself in her own dream, happy, totally hypnotized by that handsome boy. At that moment the couple stopped and the young man took her to the gardens. In the darkness of the night, he led her to the deepest part of the garden, only a beautiful full moon illuminated them; Wen knew that it was not right, but something stronger than her, forced her to follow him blindly as if she had no will. When they reached the place, that young man began to kiss her very slowly, it was as if little by little she stopped being her in his arms, she knew that she should not let him do all that, but it was as if she had no will...

In one of those moments, when she felt that she was going to abandon herself completely to him, she could see with the reflection of the moonlight, how something protruded from between the mouth of that boy, they were some fangs that looked quite sharp and went directly to his neck, accompanied by an anxious and at the same time terrifying look. At that moment, Wen reacted and tried to push him away, but she couldn't get him off her and she could feel how something hurt her neck, just at that moment, Wen's mother shook her violently... Wen woke up terrified, she had never had such a lucid dream....


Her mother had arrived home with her father, just in time, and heard her daughter's screams, waking her up at the moment when she could no longer resist the young man. After calming her daughter, the mother went to bed, then Wen noticed that her favorite pajamas had some drops of her own blood on them, and when she touched them, she could feel a small scratch on her neck. Terrified, she could not explain how she had hurt herself right where that man wanted to hurt her with his mouth; fortunately, he had not succeeded at all. There, Wen realized that it had been real....

She did not say anything to anyone, who would believe all that, so she decided to take everything that would prevent her from falling asleep, because she knew that if she fell asleep again, it was very likely that this being would return to finish what he had started. She had not slept for 3 days, the blue circles under her eyes on her white skin, so it was affirmed, her body could not take any more, her parents could not explain why their daughter did not want to sleep; so, without Wen knowing it, her mother gave her a juice with some drops that would send her to the arms of Morpheus quickly; she drank the juice and sat on the armchair that was on her balcony, where the cold breeze kept her active and awake.


But soon, those drops took effect and without Wen noticing, she fell into a deep, lethargic sleep. Her parents looked out and tucked her comfortably into her large bed, leaving the bedroom door open to keep an eye on their daughter. Only a curious look lurked in the shadows as if on the prowl.... At that moment, a terrible cold entered the room, Wen murmured unintelligible words softly. She was having a new encounter with that being of the darkness, this time, he was in her dreams, according to her, and was holding her in his arms...


Wen, terrified, struggled with it as best she could, and almost without strength she begged God to help her, and when she felt that she was rising in the arms of that being without return, she could see how from the corner of her room, emerged the pet of the house, the beautiful Angora cat of her mother, this one nimbly climbed on the bed and in one leap reached the face of that being, giving him a claw with a claw of her own, It then released Wen, surprised, touching her face, disappearing in the act, at the instant that she fell heavily on the bed next to the cat, who in attack position was guarding her. ..


Wen woke up startled, with blood stains again on her pajamas, but this time, the blood was not hers, but of that being from hell. She knew immediately who her heroine had been, that small but brave kitten, who had saved her from a life of horrible and unwanted immortality. Since that night, Wen slept next to her new friend and with time she adopted new "watchers" to accompany her and take care of her in her future nights.

La noche se tornaba fría y llena de una espesa neblina, Wen se encontraba sola en casa, pues sus padres habían salido a una de sus tantas cenas de caridad y como a ella le aburrían esas cenas de la alta sociedad; ella prefirió quedarse y ponerse su pijama favorita, encender la chimenea de su cuarto y acostarse a contemplar las llamas de los troncos hasta que se durmió. Entro al inicio en un sueño profundo, pesado, cuando de repente entró en conciencia en medio de su sueño y se vio en medio de un gran baile danzando con un apuesto joven, este le sonreía galantemente,  mientras la hacía danzar como si estuviese en una nube.


Wen se veía en su propio sueño, feliz, totalmente hipnotizada por aquel apuesto chico. En esas la pareja se detuvo y el joven la llevo hacia los jardines. En plena oscuridad de la noche, la condujo hacia lo más recóndito del jardín, solo los iluminaba una hermosa luna llena; Wen sabía que eso no era correcto, pero algo más fuerte que ella, la obligaba a seguirle ciegamente como si no tuviera voluntad. Cuando llegaron al sitio, aquel joven empezó a besarla muy lentamente, era como si poco a poco dejara de ser ella entre sus brazos, ella sabía que no debía dejarle hacer todo aquello, pero era como si no tuviera voluntad...

En una de esas, cuando ya sentía que se iba a abandonar completamente ante él, pudo ver con el reflejo de la luz de la luna, como algo sobresalía de entre la boca de aquel chico, eran unos colmillos que se veían bastantes afilados e iban directamente a su cuello, acompañado de una mirada ansiosa y a la vez aterradora. En ese instante, Wen reaccionó y trató de empujarlo fuertemente, pero no podía quitárselo de encima y pudo sentir, como algo le hería el  cuello, justo en ese momento, la madre de Wen la sacudía violentamente... Wen despertó aterrada, jamás había tenido un sueño tan lucido...


Su madre había llegado a casa junto a su padre, justo a tiempo, y  oyó los gritos de su hija, despertándola en el instante, en que ella ya no podía oponer resistencia a aquel joven. Luego de calmar a su hija la madre se fue a acostar, entonces Wen, se percató como su pijama favorita, tenía unas gotitas de su propia sangre, al tocarse pudo sentir, un pequeño rasguño en el cuello. Aterrada, ella no pudo explicar como se había herido justo donde aquel hombre quería herirla con su boca; afortunadamente, no lo había logrado de un todo. Allí Wen se dio cuenta de que aquello había sido  real...

No le dijo nada a nadie ¿Quién le iba a creer a ella todo aquello?, entonces decidió, tomar todo lo que le evitara dormirse, pues sabia que si volvía a dormirse, muy posiblemente aquel ser, volviera a culminar lo que había comenzado. Ya tenía 3 días sin dormir, las ojeras azueles en su blanca piel, así lo afirmaban, ya su cuerpo no daba para más, sus padres no se explicaban el porqué su hija no quería dormir; así, que sin que Wen lo supiera, su madre le dio un jugo con unas gotas que la enviarían a los brazos de Morfeo rápidamente; ella se tomó el jugo y se sentó en el sillón que estaba en su balcón, donde la brisa fría la mantenía activa y despierta.


Pero pronto, aquellas gotas, hicieron su efecto y sin que Wen se diera cuenta, cayó en un sueño profundo, letárgico. Sus padres se asomaron y la acostaron cómodamente en su amplia cama, dejaron entre abierta la puerta de la habitación para estar pendiente de su hija. Solo una curiosa mirada se quedó merodeando entre las sombras como al acecho... En esas, un frío terrible entro a la habitación, Wen murmuraba palabras ininteligibles suavemente. Ella estaba teniendo un nuevo encuentro, con aquel ser de las tinieblas, en esta ocasión, él estaba en sus sueños, según ella,  y la estaba sosteniendo entre sus brazos...


Wen, aterrada forcejeaba con aquello como mejor podía, ya casi sin fuerzas le suplicaba a Dios para que le ayudara, ya cuando sentía que se elevaba en brazos de aquel ser sin regreso, pudo ver como de la esquina de su cuarto, emergía la mascota de la casa, la bella gata angora de su madre, esta ágilmente se subió a la cama y de un salto alcanzo el rostro de aquel ser, dándole un  zarpazo con sus garras afiladas, haciendo que de ella fluyera la sangre, entonces aquello, soltó a Wen, sorprendido tocándose el rostro, desapareciendo en el acto, al instante de que esta caía aparatosamente sobre la cama junto a la gata, quien en posición de ataque la custodiaba...


Wen despertó sobresaltada, con manchas de sangre de nuevo en su pijama, pero en esta ocasión, la sangre no era de ella, sino de aquel ser del averno. Supo de inmediato, quien había sido su heroína, aquella pequeña, pero aguerrida gatita, quien la había salvado de una vida de horrible inmortalidad indeseada. Desde aquella noche, Wen dormía junto a su nueva amiga y con el tiempo adoptó a nuevos "vigilantes" para que la acompañaran y la cuidaran en sus futuras noches.
