Back when it was mandatory for everyone to wear a helmet at the skatepark that i work. Just me and my friend Gabriel who works with me doing a chill session. What do you guys think about wearing a helmet? I guess it makes my skating kinda stuck, i feel a lot more free when i dont have it

Never wore a helmet so I can't answer your question bro.

What I can say though is that the 5-0 Shuvit and Bs Nosegrind were awesome! Both super clean!

Every indoor park here makes you wear one if youre under 18, and nowadays most of tem makes everyone wear it at any age. I find it kinda lame, cus theyre not really worried with you, theyre afraid someone fall and hit their head and decid to sue the park, but i've never seen it happen

I do dislike when things are done out of worry of liability, as it's often enforced by people who are not experts, and often is abused to limit freedoms.  That said, I am pro helmet. Tho the longboard scene is way more pro helmet than the skate scene is.  So I'd get shamed if I posted a video of me with no helmet. 

The only argument I have heard against helmets that I think is valid, are increased neck strain due to the extra weight.  However I would say that is only an issue near the beginning, as with time your neck will be strengthened  by regularly doing things with the helmet on.  For me, it feels no different than putting a hat on my head, and I usually forget it's there pretty fast. That said, it's also just a good idea to strengthen your neck to prevent injuries to it, much like how boxers, and contact sport athletes do. 

The other reason I am for encouraging helmets, is sometimes some random shit happens!  I know people who got hit by angry drivers on the road, had a axle snap, or a wheel blow up, and of course the feared scooter kids snaking their runs! I even know a pro downhill racer, who almost died on a flat road pushing to his car, because a hole in the road opened up as he rolled over it, and his hand he went to catch himself with got tangled in a strap from his bag. 

Most of all, no one wants to loose someone to something that could have been easily prevented.
