If you missed the first week, this is a new initiative being kicked off across HIVE communities where we put forward one of our best posts of the week to be part of a promotional drive of HIVE and our community across other social media platforms.  As a community we choose the weekly winner via the new poll feature being developed on the Leo Finance alpha site.  You can read all about the initiative [HERE](https://hive.blog/weeklytops/@weeklytops/details-for-communities) so I won’t rehash all those details, just the important bits for our community here at Silver Gold Stackers.

The first thing to note is that on the (good) advice from the organisers we are branding our community selection **Stacker of the Week** to try to emphasize what our community is all about. Secondly, it’s been suggested that because there can only be 4 nominations each week we try to focus on “Good” posts rather than necessarily the “Best” posts so that there is some rotation amongst nominees and this doesn’t devolve into a popularity contest where the same person always wins. This hopefully will give us a bit more diversity for the content and authors we put forward while also reducing disappointment from people who might be unhappy about not being nominated for a particular post on a given week.

Last week the winner of our community poll was @ironshield who authored this awesome post about a [Custom Made Pendant](https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@ironshield/a-custom-made-pendant-from) and so this week **he will receive 60% of the author rewards from this post as a prize.**  We do have some whale support for this initiative that will likely vote on this post so that reward could be quite a decent sum.  Also, an additional 20% of the author rewards of this post will go to @weeklytops for organisation and promotion.  So if you missed out on upvoting our winners post last week, then upvoting this post is another chance to show your support for @ironshield.

One other thing I’d like to encourage is for people to check out the other [Week 1 Winners](https://hive.blog/leofinance/@weeklytops/authors-of-the-week-or-week-1-winners) for this initiative where you will see all the final poll results for all the other communities taking part.  Our poll is there with 15 votes and it would be really good if we could get more people voting because maybe….just maybe….we might get higher on this list and that might help add to the prestige and influence of this awesome community here at SGS.
