What makes hearthstone so fun? Well, I think it’s a couple things, but primarily it’s the flexibility to build a huge array of custom decks, and of course the sweet endorphin release you get every time you open a new pack. Well that and being able to rise up through the ranks and achieve Legendary Status!

But for many new and casual players, that joy can be hard to come by. And the reality is that if you really want to build those crazy decks you see TrumpSC and Kripparrian using, it’s gonna cost you both time and money. 

But here’s a crazy idea. What if we created an account entirely funded by the Steem Blockchain and run by the community that allowed us all to live out those crazy dreams of $1,000 pack opening sprees? What if we could build any deck from hearthpwn our heart desires? Could we collectively take this new account to the heights of Legendary Status?

# Introducing @buildalegend!

This account aims to do exactly that. We’ve created this account, @buildalegend, so that every member of the community that wants to participate in some way can. The idea is that every pack we earn, every pack we buy, and every game we play will be funded by the community’s Upvotes and Donations. 

Not only that, we want to give active members of this community a chance to actually take the helm in-game, to decide which cards to play as we rise up the ranks. 

We want everyone to help us build the best decks for today and tomorrow.

And we’re going to stream all of this LIVE on @dlive! 
The games. The quests. The pack openings. All of it!

#### How is does the funding work? 
Each post/livestream (including this one) will be a 50/50 split of SBD and SP. Every SBD we make will be converted to USD and 60% of that (minus exchange fees) will be used on buying new packs (and other potential in-game items if ever they exist) The other 40% will be used to pay taxes (lame) and perhaps some giveaways (not lame!).

#### Who owns the account? 
The account is owned and managed by @gyrosean, @samhutch and @idlebright. The three of us are the only ones that will have direct access to both the Steem account as well as the Blizzard account for security purposes. 

#### What will you do with the SP the account earns?
In the long-run we’re not sure (meaning 1+ years). But for now we’re very much HODL, and will use the SP to upvote this account and others at the owners/managers discretion. This is not a bot-run account. 

#### How will the community be able to play?
We want to make every game something we livestream. That said, the lag is too much for people to play in the comments section. Instead, we are planning to invite specific users to play during livestreams with us. The idea is to either screenshare on Discord and output the audio of the person playing, or we’re looking into the lag time of Spectate mode to see if that + Discord Audio chat would work. Either way, Discord is where the action will happen. 

#### How can the community make decks?
There are great tools available for that today. Hearthpwn.com is a great example of a place to build, share and discover tons of great hearthstone decks. The goal would be to have a mix of special guest decks, as well as community vote-based deck choices. 

#### What if no one from the team is available to stream on a given day?
That might happen sometimes. We all have other careers, and this account is definitely not going to be changing that. But we do hope to stick to our proposed schedule as best we can, and will let people know when things might deviate. 

#### Do we have to watch you level all the base characters up to 10?
No. We have the Blizzard account already, and are dutifully slogging our way through the first 10 levels for each character. But we won’t be opening any packs until we Launch, so that we can have that many more packs to open! 

#### Why are you streaming on US/EST timezone? 
The owners/managers of the account all live in NYC. We totally understand that many of you are in Europe and Asia, so that might be difficult. But our goal is to do enough streams at good enough times to suit most.
