It is a sad day for our community to be infiltrated by scammers.
They should be kicked off steemit for good!

Thank you for the heads up. Similar happened to me recently.
I read a post where some one described whalesharevto operate like @randowhale, and that I can simply buy upvotes by sending SBD to an @whareshare account and get an upvote worth at least 5times my investment. I sent 8SDB but till now no upvote. Worst part, I was told on their Discord channel that the @whaleshare account doesn't belong to anyone associated with whaleshares.net project.
What I blame them for however, is for not discovering that account and informing the community.

But when it wanted the username and password for my steemit account I closed the browser. Maybe it's legitimate but with so many sharks swimming around Steemit I'd rather miss out than expose myself.

Well another good example of why you should be careful what you do on steemit.  The community is always watching.. Eventually you'll get exposed.. Thanks for sharing.

I ask someone here about that whale power issue. Good you publish this - these multi account spammers should be corrected indeed - they cause a lot of fight also when a person is flagged by these.

But still curious;  when does one use a #whalepower tag?
