An article from yesterday...Daily Steem Report October 6, presents a related issue.  There are screen shots presented by@elyaque that suggest there are those who are organized in their down voting whether they be bots or not, someone is directing these efforts.  The owner of the blog has requested assistance and @bullionstackers was recommended.

Hi, @bullionstackers. I am ashamed to ask but you are the one I like the most around here in Steemit. How much Steem Power does it take for one to have so his upvote is worth 1 SBD?

I realize everything here is recorded on the blockchain but I'm beginning to bristle at posts which single out an individual for some kind of "wrongdoing". I mean if somebody wants to unvote I suppose it's their right.

What it comes down to is I question the purpose of this posting. Is it to begin a witch hunt ala jpiper20? Edit: I'm pretty sure a witch hunt wasn't intended but the individual was in this case called to the floor at the very least.

At least this appears to have been sorted out. I'm just questioning if it should become the social norm on Steemit to call out individuals in this way or if we should simply acknowledge that some unnamed group of individuals are acting in a poor way. It's difficult to show examples because even if you omit the specific names involved it's quite easy to search the blockchain to find who it was. Any thoughts?

@pery I see I was one of the people you done this to. I don't understand the logic behind this, and I don't believe you were just testing things out. You upvoted all these people and then unvoted them. If you were just  testing things out, it would have just needed to be done on one post and then you could have just re upvoted after you tested out your unvote. I agree with some of the people here it is the choice of the user if they want to unvote but I prefer not to follow people that do that. I just went through more of the blockchain and seen you have been doing this for awhile there is way more then just what @bullionstackers has shown, I see you even done it to yourself. I just don't see the logic behind this. You lost all your cureation rewards on every post you done this on. If it continues I will have no choice but to unfollow and mute you. I believe in second chances , this is yours, please use it to redeem yourself. Best of luck to you.

Uncool, sure. But people should be able to do what they wish with their votes so long as no flags are thrown with out being singled out for it IMO.

i sometimes "downvote" by mistake as the computer doesen't show me that i have allready upvoted XD
