Well, it seems I am not the only ETH user out there that experienced sync
issues with the release of the new Geth 1.6.0 Client.  I have been trying
for 4 days to sync my node on --fast mode, even increased the cache, no
luck.

Apparently Geth 1.6.0 will not work with the previous wallets for many HDD
users like myself who like to keep a full node running instead of using Parity.
I think that there is likely a conflict with the Rinkeby testnet operating under
PoA protocol while main net continues to employ PoW.

I expect it may take them one or two more wallet updates to get this right, which
means downtime for many users and developers.  Again!
