I'm in two D&D groups which rotate Thursdays, so today's tale is not a follow up to last weeks Cave of Wasted Time.  Today's group is set in the same world as my other session but we are in a completely different area and much more piratey.  Right now I'm playing as Flow the Warforged Barbarian who is servant to his master Ebb, a Genasi Druid.  We are trying to track down a lady named Gerty, captain of a pirate ship and have decided to assist a few of her crew until she returns from who knows where.    This session is very much shrouded in mystery and we are constantly searching for clues, only problem is we don't always know what's a clue and what isn't.

Overall there were two objectives in todays session, learn more about Councilman Yaschief and discover who was impersonating Snid, assistant to Councilman Tyrene.  Tyrene is sort of our employer and occasionally gives us tasks and helps us out, he is a powerful ally that comes with powerful enemies.  Yaschief happens to be one of those enemies.  Everytime we think we are close to getting some major dirt on Yaschief, we get hit by a curve ball.  We didn't have much to go on tonight, we had discovered where Yaschief was smuggling goods out of the city but the area was completely cleaned out and we had no evidence to do anything with.

Our next lead was going after Yaschief's assistant Puin.  We didn't have a ton to go on and decided to have a stake out near the city council.  As night fell, Puin arrived and we attempted to sneak into the council chambers behind him.  After discovering a room with some light coming from under the door and a potential clandestine meeting, I promptly kicked down the door to reveal two giants in a heated discussion.  Giants are bad and should not have been in the city.  Shockingly they attacked us.  A brief skirmish ensued, the giants died and we made a quick exit.

The following day found the city in an uproar.  Apparently a pair of Giant corpses in the heart of the city, attract some major attention.  I'm interested to see what the fallout of our actions are in two weeks time.
