Project Runway Season 18 Epsiode 13, part one of the finale watch the final four as they embarked on a five month journey to design 10 looks for New York fashion week.  Segio, Geoffrey, Nancy and Victoria have their work cut out for them.

Sergio is still Sergio so you know there is going to be some message behind his collection.  Shockingly his message is simply about the melting of the polar ice caps.  Pretty straight forward and seems like a very cohesive idea for a collection but Sergio is still Sergio and we see lots of bizarre fringe that makes everything look dated and a bit tacky.  His critiques were pretty hard today but I'd still like to see his collection at fashion week.

Geoffrey had a wild ride for his first 3 months preparing his collection.  He tore his meniscus, had an immobilized leg for over a month, broke up with his partner and then got to design something with Zaldy for a Disney project.  Needless to say he had almost nothing ready after 3 months and was in danger of not being ready for fashion week.  He did pull things together and brought a very metallic collection down the runway.  He still need to make some improvements but if he can make the adjustments the judges are asking him to do, he could be a dark horse to win the season.  I really appreciated that he made some menswear and will be using at least one male model during his collection.

Victoria seemed hyper focused on details this week.  As a result he accessories retracted from her final product for her three runway looks.  On top of that he collection is a lot of brown on brown and I feel like I appreciated her more earlier on this season.   She will need some major edits if she wants to have a shot at winning.  I'm not convinced she even cares about winning as much as advertising her brand at this point.

Lastly we have Nancy and I felt she crushed it this week.  Nancy had my two favorite looks of the week, the liquid dress and her patterned suit.  It was also cool to see Nancy utilize a model in a wheel chair for the second time this season as she wanted to emphasize inclusion in her collection.  

I really hope we get to see all four collections at fashion week because I really want to see everything these designers have to offer.
