Staking Some of My Tribe Tokens Today

In my [last post](https://steempeak.com/esteem/@bxlphabet/claiming-and-staking-tribe-tokens-part-one) about tokens, I described how I claim them. This post is about staking the ones I feel sure I want to stake.

This is the status of my tokens before I staked them.

I went into steem-engine and staked the following tokens one-by one:
- BPC <<< BILPCOIN has an active team, I have a good feeling about. I'm plankton here.
- CCC <<< Creative Coin is not something I post to much, but most of the people I vote for are creative types using the tag. I am a dolphin for this token.
- LIFESTYLE <<< I use this tag and get a lot of support on my posts. I am a minnow for this token.
- MARLIANS <<< I made Whale status! This is my favorite tribe.
- NEOXAG <<< This is a tag I use on my posts. I have on my list to find out more about what is going on in Neoxian City. They are very organized and have good communication and contests. I am a dolphin in this token.
- PHOTO <<< Another tag I do not use much, but the people I vote for do. I am a minnow for this token.

In all cases I left a little of the rewards out and did not stake them. This is so they would not drop way down the page if I have zero unstaked. (Why do I care? I do not know.)

I find the levels of minnow, dolphin etc on this older post by @holger80. I assume these levels continually change. I do not know of another, more current place to see this information.

Here's how I look after the staking:

The "big" ones I did not stake are:
- STEM
- PAL
- ACTNEARN
- INT

I have no interest in STEM, and do not ever look at posts on that topic. So I do not think I would get curation rewards.

PAL already stakes half of your rewards when you claim them. I do use the tag. but I do not really know what that coin is all about.

I do not know anything about ACTNEARN or INT either. I do not know how I got these tokens.

I will keep learning more about tokens this week and go through this process again in 7 days.

BATTLE is for gamer related content. I'm an official curator for battle.io so if you ever make some gamer content  spam me the link so I can give you an upvote :)

BEER is a cool token to have. If you have 10 Staked you can start awarding free beer to people via using the command !BEER (Sometimes it don't work).

With the introduction of Steem-Engine and Tribe sites there is allot to take in. I like most just simply collect as many as possible while sticking to a few main tribes.

I am invested in steemmonsters so my content is usually gamer related so  SPT and BATTLE are the two main tribes I use. I also use Palnet as (from my understanding) its the biggest tribe. Palnet also allows any type of content so it can be used as a tag on my gamer content or any other content I decide to create, making it an easy tag to use.

I experiment with the others here and there but it can be hard to get any type of meaningful upvote on some of them.

Thank you so much for all of that information, @rentmoney, the beer, and your upvote. I do write some gaming posts, but have not lately. I am in a few of the games here, and I will definitely let you know when I do post about them. 

I missed saying that I want to stake the gaming type tokens and will do it next week. And for sure get those posts back into my schedule :)

A few people have also told me these tokens have very small value, and I agree. But we will be mooning soon, and I hope they will too! Cheers!

There's value  but as I said it can be tough getting meaningful upvotes. The popular tribe tokens  are being traded on Steem-Engine daily for STEEM(P) and other tribe tokens. Allot don't have a huge market but tokens such as PAL,BATTLE, BEER and others will sell if you list them at the right price. I have an extra 100-150 Steem from playing around in the Steem-Engine market. It could of been allot more but I'm mainly a holder and don't do much trading.

The way I look at it is, there's no reason not to use the tribe tags and get the extra rewards. Even if those extra rewards are tiny there still extra rewards. Maximizing the rewards we get for our content by simply adding a relevant tag is something everyone should be doing.

I do just stake them all.  That doesn't mean I would advise everyone to do that.
