<center></center> # C2 Pilipinas Curation | Featuring @jlordc Good day everyone! Welcome to the weekly/bi-weekly curation of awesome Filipino authors. For this week, (and for the upcoming ones) I decided to change it up a bit. I went ahead and interviewed our featured author so we could get to know them better. 😊 If you've been following his posts, you'd have known about his gaming journey. We have a gaming enthusiast here. He shares his adventures in Steemmonsters, Ragnarok mobile, and DOTA2 to name a few. 'Pope' is what most people on Discord like to call me which is kinda funny to me since I'm not that religious. XD 2. 'jlordc' is the handle I often use in most of my online games 3. 'Kira' is the name I often use in public forums or discussions (The name comes from one of my favourite Anime ever 'Death Note' XD)  #### 3 Fun facts about you: 1. I'm red-green colour blind 2. I'm a Computer Engineer who doesn't know how to fix or troubleshoot a computer 'hardware~wise' lol 3. I love anime and games more than Steem XD #### How did you learn about Steemit? I stumbled upon the Steemit platform after I've asked Google to search me something online. Google redirected me to a blog post on Steemit and the $$$ at the bottom of that post got me curious about the platform. Yep! It was the money that lured me in! XD #### What's the best thing that happened to you in the platform? It would be the fact that this platform not only helped me in earning some extra money for myself to help pay my monthly bills but it also became a medium to freely express my thoughts, opinions and interests on some things without judgement from other people. :) #### Posts you are looking out for: It used to be Anime and Gaming related posts (games outside Steem) but lately few and few people are writing about topics like that. T_T So right now I'm more looking forward to Steem development update blog posts or a new Steem DApp announcement posts, projects or initiatives that may get the Steem hype going on.  #### What is your motivation for writing? 'Money?!'. I mean when I first joined this platform Steem/SBD was valued at around $7-$8 which kept decreasing to the now market value of $0.25-$0.3 which honestly is discouraging. But I continue writing for over a year now because I still have high hopes for the platform, that it will eventually recover back to at least $1-$2 in the next 2-3 years. Also, Steem somewhat became part of my daily routine now that I just can't stop writing. So... XD #### Message for our fellow Filipino Steemians: Consistency and Genuine Engagement is the key to succeed in here. Also, stop comparing yourself from other bloggers in here. XD I know it's discouraging to see other people getting good upvotes and support when you know for a fact that your blog/s are better than theirs but the majority of those people are only getting upvote not because of the quality of their blogs but because they have finally established themselves here on Steem. Like any other social media platform, it takes time to build a solid genuine following. So never stop writing on things you really are interested in because people who have the same interest and mindset as you will eventually see you and will likely support you. I mean I managed to increase my SP to over 2000 now without investing money on Steem and kiss-assing on any orca/whale and just by writing on things I'm really interested in. So..
