First up though is a #beautifulsunday (hosted by @ace108) photo with a #funkyedit (hosted by @krazypoet) with Saturation to the Max.

After what feels like weeks of grey skies, wind rain and general malaise - look at today! Blue skies and sun, although I fear it is the calm before more impending wet weather. But doesn't my coffee shed look resplendent in the sun, even the reasonably priced French SUV looks quite noble bottom right. Good job I parked outside before todays painting session, because all those other cars were not here when I arrived - and yet again they have parked right in front of the warehouse roller shutter - so I had parked inside I would be stuck again. Although at least I know where the occupants of these cars are, the local branch of Jehovah's Witnesses is the next street along and has no parking at all for the meeting room and is on a very narrow road - so they fill this street when they meet. That means I know to be out of work by 7pm Thursday nights because the street is solid cars just after. Today must be a small meet, unless more turned up after I left. Anyway worst case I could have wandered along and asked kindly for the car owner to let me out, while enquiring if their Blockchain was getting taken over by TRON any time soon 😉

So here is todays painting progress, I will point out no sealed boxes of stock were harmed during this painting session. I'm very careful and those wooden benches are wide enough there is a gap between the wall and the boxes wide enough for me and  set of step ladders so the boxes are well away from the work. Plus it is all sealed boxes, so any effect on the box would not affect the contents anyway. To give you an idea of the progress take a look of a photo from a few weeks back.

This past photo is taken a little further forward so you don't see the full area I covered today, but I did use a full 5litre tub of [Sandtex Masonary Paint](https://www.wickes.co.uk/Sandtex-Fine-Textured-Masonry-Paint---Pure-Brilliant-White-5L/p/137484) on this section, it's not cheap but applies like PVA glue - really thick and because it is designed for external masonry covers the raw exposed stone really well. I also removed the old hanging fluorescent tube fitting, there were three hanging along this area originally - I replaced two with the LED button lights that are now on the ceiling - although the cables still dangle because of course they used to reach down to the hanging fittings. That will be dealt with when I paint the ceiling, which is a while off yet..Anyway they were hanging so low because the wooden benches the boxes are on were once used for cutting cloth - in fact there are still some very fancy brass measures along the front edge of the benches. From back in the 60's when the building was used for a garment factory. For storage we don't need the lights so low, and that middle one was no use so I disconnected it's power cable and disposed of it - one less thing gathering dust.

And here is the empty paint tub, along with my HSE wooden steps actually inherited with the building, including the string keeping them together lol. I love history and to be fair I haven't fallen off them yet!

So it has taken 12 years, but the coffee shed has changed a little since I moved in.

It's amazing that we suffered the old wooden warehouse doors for over 9 years, those blue wooden doors were pretty much rotten to bits when they were replaced with the metal roller shutters.

[Source](http://www.calderdalecompanion.co.uk/ph2541.html) That photo makes a stark change from the first picture in this post, this is from 1886 when John Marsh and Company ran a horse drawn omnibus service. From what you can tell it was a well established building at that time, so who knows the real history of the building could date much further back to the early 1800's
