For anyone that does not keep up with current affairs in the UK, this week our Government announced a fuzzy law that will commence on the 14th September that bans more then 6 people meeting up, enforceable with a £100 fine - which increases for repeat offenders. Designed to curb the recent increase of Coronavirus infections, the actual restrictions are pretty fuzzy - bordering on ludicrous. A parent has already pointed out their child can spend 9am to 3pm in a class of 25, but come 4pm after school if they want to have a Birthday party - only a maximum of 4 friends could come presuming child and 1 parent are present. That's pretty hard for an adult to understand, let alone a child that spends all day with so many of his friends - but can only meet a few after school?

Venues following the COVID-19 secure guidlines will be able to continue to host more people in total - my Warehouse exceeds all guidelines. No one can visit in a group of more then 6, but that means as many individuals that choose to arrive during the day can do.

Where does this all leave the Hive UK event on the 19th September? After working carefully through the documentation on the new legislation I am convinced there is no reason the event will be breaking any of the rules set down in it.

1. It is in a Warehouse that exceeds all current COVID-19 guidelines
2. No more then two people will arrive at any one time
3. The event is educational about Cryptocurrency and Blockchain

There are many more points, but these are the main ones. As per Warehouse guidelines we have contactless temperature recorder and check everyone who is entering does not have a high temperature - they will not be allowed to enter if they do. Multiple hand wash locations are provided with hand wash signage and antibacterial hand wash. Antibacterial hand gel is available at multiple locations. Antibacterial spray is used on all high traffic surfaces. Anyone inside can remain 3m+ apart with ease.

You would be far more at risk visiting a Pub or Restaurant, and neither of them will have less then six people in them at any one time.

# Topics to be covered on the day

There is no set itinerary because I wanted the discussion to grow from attendees interests. We certainly will be discussing dapps, front ends, services such as [HiveTips](https://peakd.com/proposal/@fullalt/hivetips-proposal), showcasing UK Hive Musicians, discussing how to promote and grow Hive user base, technicalities of running a Hive Witness which will include a run through of my four servers and on the day I will demonstrate live downloading and building manually Hive Blockchain software 1.24 in preparation of HF24 on September 22nd

# Livestream and online interaction

To make the event accessible to all I will have running a discord chat hang out for people to join in - which will probably be in different servers throughout the day to try and access as many people as possible. I also want to run a livestream but at the moment I still have to find a way that makes it easily accessible to the most people. There will be video taken throughout the day to be compiled into a best bits medley.
