It has been some time since my last Witness update, and I felt now is a good time to cover everything I currently do to support the Hive blockchain and also Hive Engine side chain.

# Hive

My @c0ff33a witness is currently ranked at 44, and my @whiterosecoffee witness at rank 85. To support my Witness accounts I have four seperate servers running hived 1.27.3 which provides both Witness accounts a fully running back up so should the primary fail for any reason I can quickly revert to the backup. So far this year I have had 100% uptime for both Witnesses which are providing reliable and consistant back up to the Hive Blockchain.

I also run a full API node at https://api.c0ff33a.uk which provides an access point for apps and dapps to the Hive Blockchain - it is running the latest version of Hived for API nodes 1.27.4 This node is rented through @privex and my Witness rewards are used towards covering the cost of the server

I run @teamuksupport which is a curation service for UK based Hive users, and host a yearly meet up for UK Hivers - I believe the plan this year is to have it at the same time as Hive Fest so anyone that is unable to attend that event have the option of our UK meet up which will also stream whatever is happening at Hive Fest. For the meet ups I provide the venue and food /drink refreshments - cost for are again recovered from my Witness rewards.

For @innerblocks I host their curation service and provide a delegation to their curation account, and I also delegate to other community accounts for curation purposes.

# Hive Engine

I run two Hive Engine witness servers, @c0ff33a and @star.lord - the second being a back up server so should my primary fail I can switch quickly to the back up while then working to restore function to the failed one. Both are running the latest version of the code 1.10.0 Currently I am ranked 24 after a brief spell in the top 20

Last week the latest update to Hive Engine became active which is Witness vote expirary. Votes cast for Witnesses will be completely wiped if the voter does not place a new vote or remove an existing one within a period of time. At present this means long inactive accounts votes are expiring, and would need the account holder to replace their votes for them to contribute to the rank position of the Witness.

Anyone can vote for Witnesses on Hive Engine, but you have to be holding staked Workerbee token for you vote to contribute to the Witness rank

Given I climbed to rank 18 for the last week, but today have dropped back to 24 suggests that an existing voter has had their own votes expire - so I would really appreciate anyone holding staked Workerbee checking their votes - and replacing their vote for @c0ff33a if it is no longer present.

I am a Workerbee stake holder myself, with 3063 Workerbee currently staked which makes my vote quite effective - and I regularly review and adjust my own Witness votes to make sure I am making the best use of them.

When you are logged in with Hive Keychain on the above site you can see your own Witness votes, and you can also place or remove your votes for Hive Engine Witnesses.

The two servers I run for Hive Engine provide back up support to the side chain, and I have also provided Testnet support by running a testnet server to aid the in development of new code.

Witness votes cost nothing to place, and your vote can make a real difference to the people running Witness servers on either Hive or Hive Engine - higher ranks provide greater block production rewards which can be used to mitigate the costs involved in paying for the servers to the run the code, and also the time needed to install and run the code - along with making sure it is updated regularly to the latest version.
