We are a family of five brothers and a woman, so this celebration was more than special. For me it was even more, since with my sister we always had a very close bond, since I am the youngest in the family, then she follows me and the other men are more than a decade apart from us. There is also the detail that when my parents decided to separate, my mother took my sister and me to start from scratch living in the great capital (my other siblings were already of age, they already practically had a life rooted in the neighborhood where they grew up and decided to stay with my father). On the contrary, my sister and I were still little and spent our childhood and adolescence together.
She got engaged to her boyfriend in October last year. We had a family dinner as a celebration, and although there was still a lot to plan regarding the wedding, my sister surprised me by asking if I wanted to be her witness and best man. That filled me with emotion and of course I accepted with great joy.

Para mi fue aun mas, ya que con mi hermana siempre tuvimos un vinculo muy unido, pues yo soy el mas pequeño de la familia, luego me sigue ella y los demás varones nos llevan mas de una década de diferencia. también esta el detalle de que cuando mis padres decidieron separarse, mi madre nos llevó a mi hermana y a mi a comenzar de cero viviendo en la gran capital (mis otros hermanos ya era mayores de edad, ya tenían prácticamente una vida enraizada en el barrio donde crecieron y decidieron quedarse con mi padre). Por el contrario, mi hermana y yo aun éramos pequeños y pasamos juntos nuestra infancia y adolescencia.
Ella se comprometió con su novio en octubre del año pasado. Hicimos una cena familiar como celebración, y aunque aun había mucho que planear con respecto a la boda, mi hermana me sorprendió con la pregunta de si yo quería ser su testigo y padrino de bodas. Eso me llenó de emoción y por supuesto que acepte con mucha alegría.

In December the previous year, they already announced the date of the civil ceremony (the legal part of the wedding) and he asked me if I could extend the invitation (which I have already shared a while ago here on hive), and well, since then we have waited Looking forward to the big day.
With my godmother (who is also my sister's godmother) we always take care of the creative part of any celebration, such as the centerpieces, decorations, souvenirs or whatever we can contribute because we really enjoy making those little things. a little more artistic. And well, of course this would not be the exception.
We had some problems when doing it, due to economic issues and especially time, since I live quite far away and in recent months I have been traveling and working a lot. So the last week before the wedding, we took care of those things full time. We made the centerpieces, the decoration for the sweet table and the bridal bouquet.

En diciembre el anterior año, ya dieron a conocer la fecha del civil (la parte legal de la boda) y me pidió si podía hacerle la invitación (que ya he compartido hace un tiempo aquí en hive), y bueno, desde ese entonces esperamos con ansias el gran día.
Con mi madrina (que también es la madrina de mi hermana) siempre nos encargamos de la parte creativa de cualquier celebración, como los centros de mesa, las decoraciones, los souvenirs o con lo que sea que podamos aportar porque disfrutamos muchos de realizar esas cositas un poco mas artísticas. y pues, por supuesto ésta no seria la excepción.
Tuvimos algunos inconvenientes a la hora de realizarlo, por temas económicos y sobre todo por el tiempo, ya que yo vivo bastante lejos y estos últimos meses he estado viajando y trabajando mucho. Por lo que la ultima semana previa a la boda, nos encargamos full time de esas cosas. Hicimos los centros de mesa, la decoración para la mesa dulce y el ramo de novia.

The day began early with the civil wedding. My sister did not give much importance to that part, so she wanted to make it quite intimate, she thought that the boyfriends, witnesses and closest relatives would be present, but to her surprise there were a lot of people, because no one wanted to miss any details. .
I was a little nervous, since I had never attended a wedding, much less participated as a legal witness. It was a beautiful and exciting experience.

Mi hermana no le dio demasiada importancia a esa parte, por lo que quiso hacerlo bastante intimo, creyó que estaríamos presentes los novios, testigos y los familiares mas cercanos, pero para su sorpresa fuimos un montón de personas, pues nadie quería perderse de ningún detalle.
Yo me encontraba algo nervioso, ya que nunca había asistido a ningún casamiento, y mucho menos participar como un testigo legal. Fue una experiencia hermosa y emocionante.

From the civilian room, we went straight to a lunch that the couple had organized for their family and closest people.
The menu was pure roast meat and that made me a little upset with myself, because I am a vegetarian and I almost always go ahead of these types of events by cooking something delicious to accompany the moment with others, because well, I eat a lot, and when I don't do that, I end up eating some salads they offer as a side dish. Luckily it only lasted a moment, as I was overwhelmed by the joy of the moment and also by the reunion with many family members that I had not seen in years.
One of the most exciting reunions was that of my brother with his eldest daughter. They spent more than 15 years without even having the opportunity to communicate, because of my niece's family, who denied her to my brother since she was very, very little. That story will remain for another post since it is something very long to tell and involves too much context for you to understand the situation, but the important thing here is how fascinating that reunion was.

Desde el civil, nos fuimos directo a un almuerzo que habían organizado los novios para los familiares y personas mas cercanas.
El menú fue pura carne asada y eso me hizo estar un poquitito molesto conmigo mismo, pues soy vegetariano y casi siempre me adelanto a este tipo de eventos cocinándome algo rico para acompañar el momento con los demás, porque pues soy de comer bastante, y cuando no hago eso, termino comiendo algunas ensaladas que ofrecen como guarnición. Por suerte solo me duró un momento, ya que me inundaba la alegría del momento y también por el reencuentro con muchos familiares que no veía hacía años.
Uno de los reencuentros mas emocionantes fue el de mi hermano con su hija mayor. Ellos pasaron mas de 15 años sin siquiera tener la oportunidad de comunicarse, a causa de la familia de mi sobrina, que se la negaron a mi hermano desde que era muy muy pequeña. Esa historia quedará para otro post ya que es algo muy largo de contar y conlleva demasiado contexto para que puedan entender la situación, pero lo importante aquí es lo fascinante que fue ese reencuentro.

Lunch ended around 4 in the afternoon and after that, we each went to our respective houses to finish preparing everything for the big celebration that began at 7 in the afternoon.
That would be the formal celebration where my sister would enter with her beautiful dress, so she asked us to put a little effort into our outfits 😅.
That part, to tell the truth, I love it! I don't usually have many events where I can wear a shirt and of course, my favorite vest, so I decided to go all in black (in fact, a few days before I dyed my hair black to match my outfit, because it didn't suit me too much like I had with blonde hair 🤣) and I cut the range using white sneakers.

El almuerzo terminó al rededor de las 4 de la tarde y posteriormente a eso, cada uno nos fuimos a nuestras respectivas casas para terminar de preparar todo para la gran celebración que comenzaba a las 7 de la tarde.
Esa seria la celebración formal en donde mi hermana entraria con su bello bestido, por lo que nos pidió que nos esforcemos un poco en nuestros outfits 😅.
Esa parte, a decir verdad, me encanta! no suelo tener muchos eventos en donde pueda vestir con camisa y por supuesto, mi chaleco preferido, por lo que decidí ir todo de negro (de hecho, unos días antes teñí mi cabello de negro para hacer juego con mi outfit, pues no me convencía demasiado como me quedaba con el cabello rubio 🤣) y corté la gama utilizando zapatillas blancas.

The tradition of the grand entrance is that the bride enters holding the arm of her father, who, at the end of the catwalk, would hand her over to her husband. Well, our father died many many years ago, so my sister asked all of us male siblings to come in with her.
One of my brothers did not attend the wedding since he lives in another province, and to be honest, he does not show much interest, in fact we have not seen him for more than 9 years. and another of my brothers had not yet arrived. so there were three of us left to accompany her on the catwalk.
That moment was kind of funny. My sister was super nervous and as soon as she got out of the car, she practically teleported to where the boyfriend was inside the living room.
I had moved away a little to take photos of her when she got out of the car, but she did everything so quickly that I didn't even have time to settle somewhere to enter with her and my brothers, so much so that I don't even appear in the videos and in those Yes, you can see me a little, I just look like another waiter, entering from behind 🤣🤣.

La tradición de la gran entrada es que la novia entre tomada del brazo de su padre, quien al finalizar la pasarela, la entregaría al esposo. Pues nuestro padre falleció hace ya muchos muchos años, por lo que mi hermana nos pidió a todos los hermanos varones que entremos junto a ella.
Uno de mis hermanos no asistió a la boda ya que vive en otra provincia, y para ser honesto, no demuestra mucho interés, de hecho no lo vemos hace mas de 9 años. y otro de mis hermanos aún no había llegado. por lo que quedábamos tres para acompañarla en la pasarela.
Ese momento fue algo gracioso. Mi hermana estaba super nerviosa y apenas bajó del auto, prácticamente se teletransportó hacia donde se encontraba el novio dentro del salón.
Yo me había alejado un poco para tomarle fotos cuando bajara del auto, pero hizo todo tan rápido que no me dio tiempo ni de acomodarme en algún costado para entrar junto con ella y mis hermanos, tanto que en los videos ni aparezco y en los que sí se me llega a ver un poco, solo parezco otro mozo de los que había, ingresando por detrás 🤣🤣.

The celebration started really magical! When the bride and groom met again, standing in front of all the guests, they took their microphones and dedicated such beautiful words that they managed to move everyone. Then we brought some of them to the front to also dedicate our good wishes to them while songs that gave us goosebumps were heard in the background.
Later it was time to dance the waltz, the bride and groom began, of course, and then the guests began to enter the dance floor to participate in the dancing ceremony.
photographs here and there, until suddenly, the lights went out, and that music began to play that forces you to get up from your seat to go to the track to move your body as if there were no tomorrow 😅.

La celebración comenzó realmente mágica! cuando los novios se reencontraron parados frente a todos los invitados, tomaron sus micrófonos y de dedicaron palabras tan hermosas que lograron conmover a todos. Luego pasamos algunos al frente para también dedicarles nuestros buenos deseos mientras se escuchaban, de fondo, canciones que nos ponían la piel de gallina.
Posteriormente llegó la hora de bailar el vals, comenzaron los novios, por supuesto, y luego comenzamos a ingresar a la pista los invitados para participar de la ceremonia danzante.
fotografías por aquí y por allá, hasta que de pronto, las luces se apagaron, y comenzó a sonar esa música que te obliga a levantarte del asiento para ir a la pista a mover el cuerpo como si no hubiese un mañana 😅.

They also hired a show with a drag queen that was very funny, they made us participate in games and we couldn't stop laughing.
After a few hours of celebration, the toast arrived, which was also very emotional. Seeing them and everyone around them raising their glasses in unison managed to steal some tears from us.
And not to mention the sweet table. Ugh, what a delight everything there was to taste, I couldn't choose which dessert to serve on my plate because I wanted them all😅, I had to go to the table several times to serve myself a few more portions.
The celebration ended at approximately 2 in the morning, and it was truly unforgettable. Sharing that great moment with her and all the people who were present was truly beautiful.

También contrataron un show de una persona transformista que fue muy gracioso, nos hizo participar de juegos y no podíamos parar de reírnos.
Luego de algunas horas de celebración, llegó el brindis que también fue muy emotivo. verlos a ellos y a todos alrededor levantando las copas al unísono, logró robarnos algunas lagrimas.
Y ni hablar de la mesa dulce. uff, que delicia todo lo que había para degustar, no se podía elegir que postre servir en mi plato porque los quería todos😅, tuve que acercarme varias veces a la mesa para servirme algunas porciones mas.
la celebración terminó a las 2 de la madrugada aproximadamente, y realmente fue inolvidable. Compartir ese gran momento junto a ella y a todas las personas que estuvimos presentes fue realmente hermoso.
