<div class="text-justify"> I instantly dip my toes in the stunning natural pool before my eyes as soon as we arrived at **Banyan Spring**. (Ooh!). I felt its icy coldness. . , which obviously didn't matter at all to these people enjoying their time on the water. I scanned the surroundings and knew by then, **this would be one of our incredible weekends!**  The surroundings were filled with only happy and joyous people enjoying this paradise with their families and friends and food with them. It was **festive**! People were beaming with warmth and joy unfazed by the beautiful Nature Spring that was incredibly chilly! I, together with my family couldn't wait to experience the chill and fun too!   ----- **Beautiful weather, Warm people, and a Very Cold Spring!** This weekend has brought so much excitement to all of us as we will be having a double birthday celebration for my niece and my younger sister. This is a big occasion because my sister-in-law's family will be joining us too. Somehow it's a reunion of two families! But what added to our eagerness was the venue of our little party. This is the first time that we will be celebrating an occasion at a place that requires us to **pay an entrance fee**. Hehe. <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> <center> The birthday celebrants. </center> Normally we held birthdays or any celebration at the public beaches so we can save money for the entrance fees and use it for food and drinks instead. However, for the past weeks, the existence of deadly jellyfish has gone rampant on the beaches of Northern Cebu. For everyone's safety, the family decided to celebrate at **Banyan Spring**, a protected, developed, and coldest nature spring in the town. *Grrreee!*   We arrived at around 11:00 AM at Banyan Spring which means at this time of the day, the spring is already filled with a crowd. There were still available cottages when we came but we chose to rent tables and chairs and placed them under the tree so we could watch our kids closely while they are swimming in the pool.   **Eating Time!** We were torn between eating our lunch or having a dip first in the cold spring. In the end, the irresistible aroma of the scrumptious food won and we all surrendered to its exquisite taste. We ordered a food package of *Humba* with egg, Chicken lollipops, Calamares, Chopsuey, Cabbage Roll, Cordon Bleu, and Carbonara. We ordered one tray of each menu!  <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> <center> The irresistible food! </center> At lunchtime, the place gets even more festive as almost all the guests at each table and cottage were eating together a the same time. Like us, each group of the family also enjoyed their food while having conversations.   Others were singing in a karaoke, some were dancing and many were swimming and enjoying the cold water under the hot weather. **Looking at them, made me think of the joy of always spending quality time with families outdoors on weekends.**   It also feels great talking to elders and asking how's life had been. We exchanged waves of laughter and spent more time conversing with each other.  **Chilly Cold Spring!** This emerald-green spring boasts a nonstop flow of cold water coming from the mountain. It is divided into four levels of which the first one is the main spring, the second one is more than 6 feet deep good for teenagers who love diving, the third one is below 5 feet which is good for me and the last one is the exits of the spring which form like waterfalls which are good for kids especially on low tides as this part of the spring connects to the open sea.  <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> <center> The kids enjoying the waterfalls.</center> The family chooses the third level. The oldies didn't swim but made sure to dip their whole body in the spring. I am not so sure of the benefits we get in immersing our bodies in cold waters but I am very sure that my body automatically feels invigorated and refreshed as soon I took a dip. I felt the energy and my muscles were recharged. Just what I need after hosting our Graduation Ceremony on Friday!   Though there are many people in the pool this has nothing to worry about as the pool is too huge and spacious to accommodate hundreds of guests.  We had a great time especially my parents and the oldies as this was their first time coming to this Cold Spring in town. My mother was all smiles and made sure to take plenty of pictures of her in the spring.  After two, three, and four hours of swimming and enjoying the water, we emerged on the pool and indulge ourselves in the food once more!  It's not just me who enjoyed this wonderful weekend but the whole family as well. We had the best quality time together! I love that our family is growing as the number of good and lovely people that I hold dear to my heart also increases. π€ It just feels so good to spend one beautiful weekend with these people full of warmth and joy.π ---- That's it for our incredible weekend. Great time spent with your lovely family! I've been hesitating to go to the beach in the cold and rainy seasons for the same reason: jellyfish! Spring is indeed the safest choice, I personally prefer hot springs over cold springs because my body is weak in cold water. Let's add some !pizza to the celebration!
