Para los que están nuevos o en mi blog o quizá no han leído algunos post más personales, vivo en Cumaná- Venezuela pero no familia, es decir abuelos y tíos son de lugares diferentes: Margarita y Cantaura, esto me llevo a entender desde muy niña que la familia debe tener un significado más allá de la sangre. 

De pequeña fui una niña tranquila y muy madura la verdad, siempre he sido un poco como una vieja prematura, así que yo tranquilamente me iba con mi mamá al trabajo y así me fui empapando de personas que eran sus amig@s pero con el tiempo y el trato se convirtieron en mis tíos y tías, los que iban a mis cumpleaños y que me sacan a pasear. 

Tengo a mi abuelita y a mi tía que cuidaron de mi hermano y de mi desde muy niños, dos personas que sin duda alguna tienen un lugar muy especial en mi corazón porque recuerdo estar en casa de mi abuela y que me hiciera una arepa con todo lo que me gustaba, que mi tía me hacía moños y me compraba dulces. Entonces ahí entendí que la familia no necesariamente tiene que estar unida por la sangre también puede ser tu familia porque te cuidan, te protegen y te aman. Y esa familia que elegimos es tan especial porque nos recuerda que los sentimientos no tienen que estar estructurados para ser lindos y significativos.

For those who are new to my blog or maybe have not read some more personal posts, I live in Cumaná- Venezuela but not family, that is grandparents and uncles are from different places: Margarita and Cantaura, this led me to understand from a very young age that family must have a meaning beyond blood. 

As a child I was a quiet and very mature girl, I have always been a bit like a premature old woman, so I quietly went with my mom to work and so I was soaking in people who were her friends but with time and treatment became my uncles and aunts, those who went to my birthdays and who take me out for a walk. 

I have my grandmother and my aunt who took care of my brother and me since I was very young, two people who undoubtedly have a very special place in my heart because I remember being at my grandmother's house and her making me an arepa with everything I liked, my aunt making me bows and buying me candy. Then I understood that family doesn't necessarily have to be united by blood, it can also be your family because they take care of you, protect you and love you. And that family we choose is so special because it reminds us that feelings don't have to be structured to be beautiful and meaningful.

También pienso que los amigos son la familia que escogemos, si bien tengo pocos amigos, tengo a mi mejor amiga @manu-gp, hemos estado juntas en los mejores y peores momentos, nos hemos tomado de la mano para pasar por las adversidades y hemos reído, tengo una pequeña inclinación a protegerla porque así soy con las personas que amo, amiga yo sé que vas a leer esto: eres mi hermanita y me enseñaste que la familia puede conseguirse en un salón de clases. 

El compartir, las experiencias de la vida humana son aspectos que nutren y nos fortalecen la existencia. En mis cortos 18 años de vida he aprendido que los momentos más oscuros no solo fortalecen porque nos enseñan miles de cosas, lo hacen porque nos traen a personas maravillosas a nuestras vidas, si has estado leyendo este post pensando en una amiga, en personas que te acogen y te abrazan, por favor diles que son la familia que escogiste antes de que quizá sea tarde.

I also think that friends are the family we choose, although I have few friends, I have my best friend @manu-gp, we have been together in the best and worst moments, we have held hands to go through adversities and we have laughed, I have a small inclination to protect her because that's how I am with the people I love, friend I know you will read this: you are my little sister and you taught me that family can be achieved in a classroom. 

The sharing, the experiences of human life are aspects that nurture and strengthen our existence. In my short 18 years of life I have learned that the darkest moments not only strengthen us because they teach us thousands of things, they do it because they bring wonderful people into our lives, if you have been reading this post thinking of a friend, of people who welcome and embrace you, please tell them that they are the family you chose before it might be too late.

Este post nació espontáneamente y lo he terminado con unas cuantas lágrimas, la verdad es que no les había compartido un poquito de esta parte familiar que tengo, pero me he disfrutado hacer este post, he reído mucho.
