# What is Value?

### Value is basicly what we are willing to pay for, what is worth our hard work and efforts. This varies from one person to another. For some it is pleasure and luxury, for another it is entertainment, for others again it is freedom, or beauty and for most of us we want all of these things and more. Personally I think freedom is the most valuable asset. If you are free to create, share, explore and grow  then you are living a happy and meaningful life.

# What Are We Willing to Pay for?

### We are willing to work hard for everything that brings us more freedom. Usually this means more money, so we can be even more free to do what we want. On Steem we don't pay for anything and yet we have the power to define what is valuable. Of Course, the more money you have the more power you have to decide what is valuable content, but for all users Steem represents an opportunity to make money on creating value to others. The question is no longer what are we willing to pay for, but what are we willing to vote for.

# We Decide What is Valuable. 

### On Steem we see in real time what is considered valuable. There is no mystery why a post gets upvoted, it gives us something we want. It may be information, entertainment, pleasure or challenge. The interesting thing about Steem is that completely new things are suddenly valuable. We see that personal stories are more valuable than superficial information. I don't want a 5 step instruction on how to be a good leader, I want YOUR experience as a leader of a project you were passionate about. I don't want an expert review of Dostojevskijs books, I want your EXPERIENCE as you read them. I want to connect with you on a deeper level and Steem makes it possible. We come for the money and we stay for the connection and freedom to share anything with anyone.

# The New Frontier

### Steem represtents a new freedom for us. Suddenly that long gone childhood dream about being an artist a poet a dancer a musician is no longer just a dream. Steem gives us the opportunity to share our work easy and fast to people all over the world. You don’t need to ask anyone's permission to create something, Steem is a new frontier where we are the settlers exploring a brave new world.
