What has always been important to protect are trees. Because they make a major contribution to maintaining the climatic balance on our planet. I often go into the forest to relax and recharge my batteries. Of course, the forest also has a very inspiring effect on me. I would like to share this with you in the following pictures.

Was es von jeher zu schützen gilt, sind Bäume. Denn sie leisten einen großen Beitrag zum Erhalt des klimatischen Gleichgewicht auf unserer Erde. Oft gehe ich in den Wald, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und neue Energie zu tanken. Natürlich wirkt der Wald auch sehr inspirierend auf mich. Dies möchte ich auf den folgenden Bildern mit euch teilen.

<H2>The Lightpainting</H2>

The cover picture was taken in the Teutoburg Forest. The piece of forest shown is only a 5-minute walk from my house.
That's why I know my way around there well and I can find my way there even in the dark. That evening I was here with my wife Geane. She clicked the camera shutter and warned me if I was running backwards towards an obstacle. The first thing I used was my pixel stick. With this I created the transparent tubes around the trees. Then I exposed the forest with an EMISAR D18 with a color filter attached. I illuminated the forest floor with a Convoy S2+ with a blue LED.

In the image below, I lit the same scene without a color filter. Too much bushes had grown around the middle tree. I had to draw a bigger bow. That's why I left it out in the cover picture.

Das Titelbild entstand im Teutoburger Wald. Das gezeigte Waldstück ist nur 5 Gehminuten von meinem Haus entfernt. 
Deshalb kenne ich mich dort gut aus und ich finde mich dort auch im Dunkeln zurecht. An diesem Abend war ich mit meiner Frau Geane hier. Sie betätigte den Auslöser der Kamera und warnte mich, wenn ich rückwärts auf ein Hindernis zulief. Als erstes kam mein Pixelstick zum Einsatz. Mit diesem schuf ich die transparenten Röhren um die Bäume. Danach belichtete ich den Wald mit einer EMISAR D18 mit aufgestecktem Farbfilter. Den Waldboden leuchtete ich mit einer Convoy S2+ mit blauer LED an.  

Im Bild unten habe ich die gleiche Szene ohne Farbfilter ausgeleuchtet.  Um den mittleren Baum war zu viel Buschwerk gewachsen. Da musste ich einen größeren Bogen ziehen. Deshalb hatte ich diesen im Titelbild weggelassen.

The following photo spot is 3 minutes drive from my house. Unfortunately, parts of the forest were cut down afterwards. It's one of the darkest places in my hometown. That's why some of my pictures have already been taken here. For this light painting, the pixel stick was pulled through the image like a curtain.

Der folgende Fotospot ist 3 Autominuten von meinem Haus entfernt. Leider wurden hier im Nachhinein Teile des Waldes abgeholzt. Es ist einer der dunkelsten Orte in meiner Heimatstadt. Deshalb sind hier schon einige meiner Bilder entstanden. Für dieses Lightpainting wurde der Pixelstick wie ein Vorhang durch das Bild gezogen.

<H2>Berlin Mitte</H2>

In the picture below we see an avenue of poplars on Warsaw Square in Berlin Mitte. To paint the cone-shaped elements, I gently swung the Pixelstik while circling the trees.stick.

Im Bild unten sehen wir eine Pappel-Allee am Warschauer Platz in Berlin Mitte. 

Um die Konusförmigen Elemente zu malen, ließ ich den Pixelstik leicht schwingen, während ich damit die Bäume umkreiste.

<H2>LAPADU</H2>
<div class="text-justify">
LAPADU stands for Landscape Park Duisburg-Nord. It is about 180 hectares in size and was built around a closed iron and steel works in Duisburg. The park, including the blast furnace, can be entered day and night free of charge. Therefore, this park is great for photo shoots. From sunset until 1:00 am, the park is illuminated with light installations by Jonathan Park. If the colorful lighting in the park interferes with light painting, it is better to start after 1:00 a.m. In the picture below, the pixel stick was used again.

LAPADU steht für Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord. Er ist ein etwa 180 Hektar groß und entstand rund um ein stillgelegtes Hüttenwerk in Duisburg. Den Park inklusive Hochofen kann man Tag und Nacht kostenlos betreten. Daher eignet sich dieser Park hervorragend für Fotoshootings. Von Sonnenuntergang bis 1:00 Uhr morgens wird der Park mit Lichtinstallationen von Jonathan Park beleuchtet. Wenn die bunte Beleuchtung im Park beim Lightpainting stört, startet man besser erst nach 1:00 Uhr. 
Im Bild unten kam wieder der Pixelstick zum Einsatz.

<H2>Steinhagen</H2>
<div class="text-justify">
I would like to conclude this post with a modified image idea for SAFE! from my home town. You can see the Schlichte-Carree. The buildings used to belong to the most famous of the 20 distilleries in Steinhagen. 

Today, many smaller companies can be found here, as well as a museum, library and cultural venues. The picture shows the situation during the lockdown. Access to the Schlichte-Carree blocked by a "curtain". Deserted streets, desolate and sad. Places of culture orphaned.
Let's hope this situation is a thing of the past forever.

Abschließen möchte ich diesen Beitrag mit einer abgewandelten Bildidee zu SAFE! aus meiner Heimatgemeinde. Zu sehen ist des Schlichte-Carree. Früher gehörten die Gebäude zur bekanntesten der 20 Brennereien in Steinhagen. Heute sind hier viele kleinere Firmen sowie ein Museum, Bibliothek und kulturelle Veranstaltungsorte zu finden. Das Bild zeigt die Situation während des Lockdowns. Einen durch einen "Vorhang" gesperrten Zugang zum Schlichte-Carree. Menschenleere Straßen, trostlos und traurig. Orte der Kultur verwaist. 
Hoffen wir, dass diese Situation für immer der Vergangenheit angehört.
