Hola amigos hivers, espero todos estén muy bien. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algo muy curioso que sucedió en mi casa.

En el patio trasero de mi hogar, tenemos una pequeña área de césped en la que tenemos algunas plantas de Aloe Vera y también plantamos un pequeño arbolito de aguacate que aún es muy pequeñito. Sin embargo un día notamos que estaba naciendo una plata que nunca plantamos ni mi mamá ni yo.

No sabíamos de qué tipo de planta se trataba, pero a medida que pasaba el tiempo veíamos que crecía como una especie de enredadera y se hacía cada vez más grande. No quisimos arrancarla para ver de qué se trataba.


Hace unos días comenzamos a notar que de la planta salían una especie de *vaina alargada* y en ese momentos nos dimos cuenta que se trataba de algún tipo de legumbre, es decir, granos.

>In the backyard of my home, we have a small grassy area where we have some Aloe Vera plants and we also plant a small avocado tree that is still very tiny. However, one day we noticed that a silver was being born that neither my mother nor I planted.

>We did not know what type of plant it was, but as time passed we saw that it grew like a kind of vine and got bigger and bigger. We didn't want to rip it off to see what it was about.


>A few days ago we began to notice that a kind of *elongated pod* came out of the plant and at that moment we realized that it was some type of legume, that is to say, grains.

Cuando nos dimos cuenta de que serían granos los que obtendríamos de esta planta nos emocionamos mucho, ya que nunca habíamos tenido este tipo de hierbas en nuestro hogar.

Y comenzamos a tratar de pensar cómo era posible que esa planta hubiera crecido allí sin que ninguna de nosotras la plantáramos.  Entonces mi madre recordó que un día ella echó unos granos que no nos comimos ahí, con la intención de usarlo como desechos orgánicos, pero nunca pensó que de ahí se originaría una planta.

Al pasar los días las *vainas* donde crecen los granos se fueron secando hasta colocarse de un color amarillo y ese era el momento de cosecharlos. Mi madre que sabe un poco más al respecto me comentó que cuando están verdes no se pueden cosechar sino cuando ya están completamente secas.

Y así hicimos, cosechamos todas las *vainas* que estaban secas y las abrimos por la mitad y para nuestra sorpresa los granos que estaban dentro no eran cualquier grano, eran CARAOTAS 😋 porotos o frijoles negros, como sea que los conozcan.

Mi emoción era inmensa amigos, porque AMO estos granos, son mis favoritos y que estos específicamente hubieran crecido en el patio de mi casa era alucinante para mí.

>As the days passed, the *pods* where the grains grow dried until they turned yellow and that was the moment to harvest them. My mother, who knows a little more about it, told me that when they are green they cannot be harvested until they are completely dry.

>And so we did, harvest all the *pods* that were dry and we opened them in half and to our surprise the grains that were inside were not just any grain, they were CARAOTAS 😋 beans or black beans, whatever you know them.

>My emotion was immense friends, because I LOVE these type of beans, they are my favorites and that these specifically had grown in the backyard of my house was amazing for me.

Obviamente fue muy poquito lo que pude cosechar, unos 80 gramos de caraotas aproximadamente, pero aún hay muchas *vainas* creciendo en el patio, así que esos 80g los guardé y esperaré a volver a cosechar más hasta obtener al menos una taza de estos granos para cocinarlos y ver qué tal.


Cuando los cocine les contaré qué tal quedaron, si son blandos, si son duros y qué tal el sabor. 

# Lo mejor de esto es que crecieron de forma completamente NATURAL y ESPONTÁNEA, sin insecticidas, sin aditivos ni nada. Completamente ORGÁNICOS 🌱

>Obviously I was able to harvest very little, about 80 grams of beans approximately, but there are still many *pods* growing in the yard, so I kept those 80g and I will wait to harvest more 
until I get at least a cup of these beans to cook them and see how they go.


>When I cook them I will tell you how they turned out, if they are soft, if they are hard and how they taste.
