<div class="text-justify">Los árboles de guayaba son una de las especies vegetales que se adaptan bien a las diferentes condiciones de precipitación, curiosamente están clasificadas como tolerantes al anegamiento. Sobreviven a las inundaciones y siguen creciendo en suelos temporalmente anegados.</div><p></p>

Las raíces superficiales se ramifican cerca del suelo y a menudo producen chupones o brotes secundarios desde las raíces cercanas a la base del tronco. <div class="text-justify">La tolerancia a la sequía se ve favorecida por el gran número y extensión de las raíces que superan el diámetro de la copa, y además el sistema radicular es lo que aumenta su capacidad para sobrevivir en zonas donde hay fuertes vientos y tormentas gracias a la extensión y número de raíces que superan el ancho de la copa, lo que permite a esta especie también desarrollarse en un gran número de suelos diferentes.</div><p></p>

El árbol de guayaba ha sido para mí uno de los árboles más llamativos, así como el que llaman "bay-run" (que por cierto, tienen un cierto parecido en su tronco y ramas; no sé si serán familia).  Es reconocible y respetable su firmeza, permanencia, casi altivez. Además de su sabroso fruto,  también sus hojas tienen muchas propiedades (yo hago con ellas cada cierto tiempo infusiones, e incluso la uso en el cabello). Gracias por tu post informativo, siempre muy preciso. Saludos, @capp.
