Beach Maintenance

Some things I certainly take for granted.  One of those is the amount of work and maintenance that goes into maintaining beaches from erosion of rising oceans, wind, and hurricane action.  Hope you enjoy the video.

Man, wish our beaches were maintained. You should see the state of the main beach round the ferry terminal. It's eroded to the point now where it's eating into the golf course. All engineering attempts at keeping the sea in abeyance have failed miserably. I'll post some shots and tag you soon and you'll get a look. The sandbags make for some nice photography though ha ha.

@captainbob, Definitely this will be one of those aspects towards which many will not throw their focus, but without any doubt **Beach Maintainance** is vital point in both **Property** and **Tourists Visit** perspective.

But in my life I've saw these kind of huge vehicles less times working on the beach. And good to see that you are having pleasant time under the trees on this hot day.

It was a hot day, but a nice breeze was blowing to improve the temperature.  Not often that I've seen these types of vehicles on the beach.  Good that they are working to constantly improve the area however.

I live in San Diego and have witnessed a similar beach maintenance effort. It is really amazing how much work is done - really, on a daily basis. There is always heavy machinery smoothing out the sand (and picking up trash - trash on the beach is my pet peeve).

Totally agree on the trash thing.  I can't for the life of me understand why people drop or leave trash.  I often just go out in the mornings with a bag and pick up trash for the enjoyment of beach time.

Well, I am from Bangladesh and Bay of Bengal located at south of our country. But south -west part we have mangrove forest called Sundarban which is totally natural and south-east part we have world's largest beach called Cox'bazaar so obviously it's important to maintain world's largest beach. Basically full cost carried by our government and also there are some private companies who take responsibilities of beach maintenance specially Bangladesh tourism companies...  Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) also take responsibilities to maintain and take care of beach from engineering sites. So management, engineering, planners all are involved... That's all I know...
