Can diseases and defects be diagnosed during pregnancy using artificial intelligence?

Hello friends of the Project Hope community.

The news about [The use of Artificial Intelligence in pregnancy can diagnose birth defects and diseases such as diabetes earlier](https://www.bebesymas.com/salud-de-la-madre/uso-inteligencia-artificial-puede-diagnosticar-antes-defectos-nacimiento-enfermedades-como-diabetes-gestacional) really caught my attention, since I am currently living that stage of prenatal parent, in which anything that has to do with this process ends up interesting me greatly.

It is important for me to educate myself on this topic, since my mother and two of my three brothers are diabetic, and since there is a genetic possibility about this disease such as diabetes, I decided to read a little to see what it is about and give my own opinions.

I see it positively that artificial intelligence not only provides solutions in other areas but also in the field of health, especially that it can detect any congenital disease before the woman gives birth, this means that some corrections can be made and begin to treat it from the stage of pregnancy.

Talking about design within this process of pregnancy and constant checking is very important, because if a continuous interaction mode is designed with the pregnant woman, this can allow us to know if the emotions and types of emotions may be doing her harm or good and to be able to make corrections in time.

The study and relevant research have revealed that the application of AI in pregnant women has even made it possible to know the exposure to environmental pollutants to which pregnant women may have been exposed before delivery.

Greetings friend @carlos84, congratulations on the sweet wait! when we are at that stage we want to investigate everything related to the health of the baby on the way, it is interesting this application of AI, hopefully tools like this can be available and available to everyone to improve the prediction of any condition. Artificial intelligence specifically deep learning make medical research faster that it used to be. With the recent progress of Google's AlpaFold (protien folding using deep learning) , we can see new lights for uncurbable diseases. I hope we can make the most of this technology to make leap and bounds in medicine.
