Personal reflection is an act that involves many factors, so the reasons why each human being reflects are usually different. For example, I personally reflect every time I see an injustice, I also reflect about many of my most unequivocal behaviors.

Reflection from my point of view is very important in every individual who wants to improve and develop into a better person, we must be in the ability to self-criticize especially when we reflect on aspects of our personality, self-criticism arises in a reflection for wanting to improve as a good person, or at least that should be the main reason, since we can even reflect for being bad people who reign with a feeling of evil, whether for good or bad the need to reflect is always in us, perhaps every time we want a change comes that need to take a pause and think about what is best for us, and for that we reflect with our self-critical thinking.  

Once we take the pause and think about what we should reflect, it is because we are already located in our combat trench from where we analyze what is most convenient for us, from where we draw objectives, from where we make transcendental changes and finally from where we end up making our most important decisions.  

That is why we must consider reflection as that human act that distinguishes us from any other species, because through it there are no charges of conscience, every decision that goes through a reflection or set of reflections is consensual and is one of the best filters to give us the assurance that we have acted with a great reasoning power.
