BLOOD MOON MAY 2022

### I HAD THIS GRAND IDEA FOR THE BLOOD MOON MAY 2022 BUT...

This was all I got instead.

I wanted to get a shot of the moon over the Salt Lake City skyline so I did some scouting for safe, and somewhat remote location, so I wouldn't be bothered or have to worry about being robbed since the viewpoint I wanted to get wasn't in the safest part of town, and I'm just a little guy.

Here's the location I ended up settling on after driving around for a bit trying to find a good vantage point. I wasn't in love with the fence in the foreground, but I knew it would be dark  later on so I was ok with it.

I invited a friend to come along (power in numbers) and we totally got skunked by clouds, as you can see in the "night time" photo above, and this photo below.

The moon just starting to peak above the mountains, but only lasted for about 30 seconds before being covered in clouds...</center>

So we ended up heading home. Once we got to my house about 35 minutes away, the clouds had cleared and we ended up just shooting from my driveway. My kids came out and were able to see it, so that was kinda neat.
