Honestly, you should look into the possibility to bring you and your family to europe.
Here in Denmark we have unlimited data usage, but also possible to have subscriptions of 5, 10, 50 or even 100 gb per month.

My best friend came from Nigeria to the Netherlands (17 years ago). Still struggling but alone from his community - as the community chipped in for his European dream , he now supports them back… spoke with him about this a few months ago. If he knew back then, what to expect - he would had wanted to stay back home. 

Compared to village communities our western European cities are hard to settle. Big employment opportunities are hobestly for higher skilled jobs (or if you are fast in learning Dutch, in the healthcare sector). 
My friend is actually trying to set up a project to provide better information on what they can expect, so they can make better decisions. 

I will join him one day both to Lagos aswell to Benin City, very curious what to expect!

That part is very surprising. Makes me wonder if it would be easier for those people to settle in a more countryside-like city instead of one of the bigger ones, or if it's the entire culture shift that's hard to adjust to 🤔

People have the idea that if you work hard you get a great job that you want. But the language and culteral difference make it really hard to adapt and be succesfull. 

He did a master of supply chain management in Lagos and ended up here taking quality samples in the Port of Rotterdam in irregular shifts for a minimal salary - while sending roughly 1/3th of his net salary back to Nigeria to support his family & village - while also having his own family here. 

While the quality of living here might still be better, he dearly misses his family and community and thinks he could also had been more succesfull in Logistics if he stayed - as he has a big hole on his cv from not being able to land a relevant job in the first 5 years
