I am sad to report the [Bitcoin.com Bus](https://news.bitcoin.com/dash-america-bitcoin-bus-journey/) will not have an official bitcoin meetup in Las Vegas because the bitcoin organizer believes that [dash](www.dash.org) is a scam. 

If you are in Vegas and want to casually meetup with us in 3 to 4 hours, hit us up via social media and we can see what we can work out (any leads on a dog friendly bitcoin restaurant in Vegas?)

I could not figure out why we were having such trouble confirming a time/location for our meetup - in 2014 they were super supportive and helped plan our bitocin-only tour stop with excitement. Yesterday I messaged the organizer and suggested a casual gathering for people who could meet us as we passed through since the official meetup failed to manifest. His response was that our support for dash is why he will not help us organize..... 

I have now been removed and banned from the Las Vegas Bitcoin Facebook page for trying to organize an impromptu gathering for later today.  I hope we can find a way to connect with bitcoiners in Vegas today. Please spread the word.

And that's OK, but why wouldn't we discuss that? We are the Bitcoin.com Bus - we are traveling on bitcoin and seeing where we can test others
What is wrong with structurally sound altcoins?  Is it cause you are invested in BTC or you think it will weaken btc or something?
I feel like people should have a chance to meet us and see the bus and talk to us, I am very sad to see this is why nothing happened in Vegas. You are the only tour stop who responded this way.

I do not support Dash because it is a instamine scam with no innovation. its anonymity comes from coinjoin. masternodes are vulnerable to sybil attacks, especially since it was instamined.

the coin and protocol work mastefully, there is no scam about it.  adotpion is growing, its market cap is higher than ever, and the community is thriving
where is the scam in that?  the creator screwed up and messed up the mining algorithim in the beginning.  maybe he did it on purpose, either way, the fundamentals are there, the code is sound, and there is immense innovation over bitcoin
you are doing your meetup a great disservice by preventing this awesome coin from being highlighted.
another point, we arent the dash show.  we have many different sponsors all in the decentralized tech space and crypto space and we have lots to offer.
even roger ver and other big btc names see value in dash, im sorry you dont

This makes me sick to my stomach to know it wasn't a matter of someone being too busy, but someone deliberately ignoring our attempts to create a local stop and not telling us.

They discuss that on John's podcast, still does not make it a scam. And bitcoin transactions can take FOREVER, have you ever been left standing there waiting for a gift card or for a restaurant to consider your payment made?

Either way, this is a conversation I am sure many in your meetup would have appreciated having in person. You silenced us and took that chance away from them. No bueno :(
