How many times do we hear the phrase: ***dreaming is for fools***? How many times do we hide our dreams so that no one criticizes us or calls us naive for dreaming?

I learned over the years and with the lessons that life has given me, that dreams are what keep me going and that regardless of anything or anyone I learned to fight every day to materialize my dreams. And what do you think? It has worked out for me.

Those who know me know that I have gone through many difficulties, especially because of my weakened health. But they also know that I have remained strong and have never given up. The secret? ***A dream map***. 

It's funny that I had never identified it with this name, but at all stages of my life I have made my dream map in a diary, in a notebook or simply on a sheet of paper that I could have at hand and mark the dreams I fulfilled or simply know which one I have yet to fulfill.

I remember when I was in oncology. Before entering that place I used to have a dream catcher on my desk, in my office or in my workshop. I realized that at that time was when I most needed a filter for my dreams, to burn the nightmares and negative dreams and leave only the good vibes of positive dreams. So I set to work and made my own dream catcher. 

On a sheet of paper that I taped to the headboard of my clinic bed, were all my dreams. Which with a lot of patience, effort and perseverance I was able to fulfill.

To return home ✅
To have a baby ✅
Return to my country ✅

I crossed out one by one the dreams on my dream map, my guide. I feel very happy when I look back and remember those days when, looking at the Havana Malecon from afar, I dreamed of being out of that hospital and then little by little I managed to resume my life. 

I think that nobody has a manual to live a happy life or to do the right things, but within my possibilities and my experience I share with you some tips to make our dream map.

# Tips to make a dream map

-The limit to dream is the sky, but we must be realistic when setting a dream and take into account our most immediate resources. 

-Time is a determining factor. If we make a mental map in the short term we will have a clearer objective and we will be able to dedicate ourselves to fulfill small dreams that form a bigger dream. 

-As long as you want to, you can. No dream is impossible, but every time we think of a dream we must be willing to make sacrifices, perseverance and perseverance to achieve it. Nothing is easy in life and less our happiness.

-Decorate your dream map to your style, to your taste, with photos and drawings that you like and so you can feel comfortable seeing your dream map every day.

-Keep your dream map at hand, so you can always be thinking about how to contribute to the fulfillment of a dream and not waste opportunities.

¿Cuántas veces escuchamos la frase: ***soñar es de tontos***? ¿Cuántas veces ocultamos nuestros sueños para nadie nos critique o nos diga ingenuos por soñar?

Aprendí con los años y con las lecciones que la vida me ha dado, que los sueños son los me mantienen y que sin importar nada ni nadie aprendí a luchar cada día por materializar mis sueños. ¿Y qué creen? Me ha resultado.

Los que me conocen saben que he pasado por muchas dificultades, sobre todo por mi salud debilitada. Pero también saben que me he mantenido fuerte y que nunca me he dejado vencer. ¿El secreto? ***Un mapa de sueños***. 

Es curioso que nunca lo había identificado con este nombre, pero en todas las etapas de mi vida he hecho mi mapa de sueños en una agenda, en un cuaderno o simplemente en una hoja de papel que pudiera tener a la mano y marcar los sueños que cumplí o simplemente saber cuál me falta por cumplir.

Recuerdo cuando estaba en el oncológico. Antes de entrar a ese lugar acostumbraba tener un atrapa sueños en mi escritorio, en mi oficina o en mi taller de trabajo. Me di cuenta de que en ese momento era donde más necesitaba un filtro para mis sueños, que quemara las pesadillas y sueños negativos y dejara solamente la buena vibra de los sueños positivos. Así que puse manos a la obra y fabriqué mi propio atrapa sueños. 

En una hoja de papel que pegué en la cabecera de mi cama clínica, estaban todos mis sueños. Los cuales con micha paciencia, esfuerzo y constancia pude cumplir.

Regresar a casa ✅
Tener un bebé ✅
Regresar a mi país ✅

Fui tachando uno a uno los sueños de mi mapa de sueños, mi guía. Me siento muy feliz cuando miro atrás y recuerdo esos días en que, mirando el malecón habanero desde lejos, soñaba con estar fuera de ese hospital y luego poco a poco conseguí retomar mi vida. 

Pienso que nadie tiene un manual para vivir la vida feliz o para hacer las cosas correctas, pero dentro de mis posibilidades y mi experiencia les comparto algunos tips para hacer nuestro mapa de sueños.

# Tips para hacer un mapa de sueños

-El límite para soñar es el cielo, pero debemos ser realistas al momento de establecer un sueño y tomar en cuenta nuestros recursos más inmediatos. 

-El tiempo es determinante. Si hacemos un mapa mental a corto plazo tendremos más claro el objetivo y podremos dedicarnos a cumplir sueños pequeños que van formando un sueño más grande. 

-Siempre que quieras puedes. Ningún sueño es imposible, pero cada vez que pensemos en un sueño debemos sentirnos dispuestos a sacrificios, constancia y perseverancia para poder alcanzarlo. Nada es fácil en la vida y menos nuestra felicidad.

-Decora tu mapa de sueños a tu estilo, a tu gusto, con fotos y dibujos que te gusten y así podrás sentirte cómodo viendo cada día tu mapa de sueños.

-Mantén tu mapa de sueños a la mano, así podrás estar siempre pensando en como aportar al cumplimiento de un sueño y no desperdiciar oportunidades.

Este es un buen momento para iniciar, ya que el año comienza y podremos tener una agenda abierta para llenar de sueños durante 11 meses restantes.
