<center> # [Inglés / English] Hey Hive Gaming! I had been inactive for quite some time but it was time to come back. I've been dedicating myself to other things in my life and also dedicating some time to play several games that I didn't give a chance to play before. One in specific that I played a few days ago was One Shot, and until now I am still so amazed by this game that I really want to talk about it, and it really deserves more recognition than it currently has, it is an experience that anyone should live at least once in their life, even if you are a common gamer or someone who has never played a video game. > ##### [Game on Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/420530/OneShot/?l=spanish)  One Shot for me is the total definition that video games are an art form, and whoever is able to question that fact, I invite you to try this game. I feel that after finishing this game I am practically not the same, and right now my life has just been divided in the "Before One Shot" and "After One Shot" stage, I had never played something that marked me so much. If I could do it, I would lose my memory right now just to play it again and feel what I felt the first time I played it, and right now it remains just a memory for me, and this is exactly what One Shot wants to make you feel.   One Shot's story and the way it presents itself to the player brings a nostalgic air constantly, and the immersion it achieves is superb. Playing this just brought back memories of sci-fi books I got to read as a kid, and still have tucked away on my bookshelf and in my memories. This beautiful story is perfect from beginning to end, it has no mistakes and within its simplicity is what makes it so ingenious and unique. It is something similar to Alice in Wonderland or games like Undertale (which is practically the same style as this one), the whole setting is totally inspired by these story books that we got to read as children, or in a cartoon that we have seen and still remember with great affection. One Shot plays constantly with memories and nostalgia, to captivate whoever is receiving this story.   The characters, even if they are somewhat simple and do not get to be so deep, their own simplicity makes them captivating, and I had never played a game in which I felt so much affection for each of the NPCs, and this game has managed to make me fall in love with all its short stories, which manage to give life to this small world, and make it feel really real for us, and within this own beauty, feel the desire to want to save it. One Shot doesn't need fights or RPG components, in this game you don't have to fight with anyone, its story just wants us to understand it without getting distracted in basic things like fights, what it wants to represent is a much deeper message as a game. The gameplay itself is based only on exploring, looking for certain objects and with its own logic to get what is necessary to advance the area and continue learning more of this story.   One Shot tries to show you that a story suitable for all audiences and that even a child can play it, is not necessarily going to be childish, since within what it seeks to tell there are many deep messages hidden, that after playing it I still think about them too many times in my head. I don't want to go into so much detail with the story, because to feel what One Shot wants to make you feel, you must play it with a completely blank mind, however, I will try to explain a little more above to understand where this is going.  We are presented with the story of Niko, a character who comes from the "Real World", at least his world, the one he knows, in which humans are somewhat different, for example, you may notice that he looks like a cat, and this only seeks to get us more into the story to understand many things, such as his personality, because like a cat, Niko is a totally curious, cheerful, free and innocent child, which does not know what evil is (Like any child or small kitten). Niko wakes up in a place he doesn't know, discovering little by little a world that seems to be created by his dreams, and to which he was transported only to save it from its imminent destruction, because the world has no sun and he is in charge of returning the sun to the world, and the brightness that its inhabitants need, brightness which they have lost years ago along with their hopes for their world to be normal again.   Despite all the bad things going on in their world, most of these inhabitants still live happily, carrying out each of their tasks and adapting to all these problems, holding on to the hopes that someday things will be fixed. This is captivating as you delve deeper, especially considering many countries are currently destroyed, by governments and so on, and despite all the adversities, their inhabitants continue their lives, still holding on to their hopes that things will get better. Constantly Niko within his innocence, only seeks to help everyone by feeling the need to save this world that he is destined to save, hoping at the end of this journey, to return to his village with his mother and have managed to save that little world and its people, who constantly seek to help him in any way so that he can return to all the brightness and warmth of the sun that they had long forgotten.   One Shot is a game that is EXPERT at breaking the fourth wall, and using this resource so perfectly that it manages to totally fit with the story, to the point of making it feel so real that it goes from being a video game to a unique experience. Niko has become one of the characters that I've never been more fond of, both for the love I have for his personality and for cats, and for having gone from being a simple character in a video game to become a human being and really share his feelings and feel a real connection with him, because as I mentioned before, this game is an expert in breaking the fourth wall. Niko throughout the journey will be talking to us, and the world too, and we will begin to feel even more immersed in this story, as we stop controlling an NPC that is only guided by our actions, but he himself knows that we have control over what he does, and that makes him feel happy, knowing that he is not alone.   Niko's spirit of curiosity is very contagious, and even using the factor of destroying the fourth wall, because many times to solve certain puzzles and advance in the story, we must even search among files within the game folder, or in others that he places inside our computer, with keys to unlock a door or place, as well as notes with some clues to advance, and many more things that I do not want to deepen to take the surprise to play it. The truth is that this way of solving puzzles I had never seen before in any other game, and besides making it more fun, it makes it much more unique. The game has an ending, although at the beginning we have 2 "endings", the truth is that in reality the story does not end at that point, and you must use that same spirit of curiosity looking inside the game files, to find the way to the true ending.   The art of the game, the piano and guitar soundtrack, just conveys a constant air of calm and nostalgia, and right now I listen to the soundtrack of the game again after playing it, and I just feel like crying the same way I cried when I finished playing it, knowing the message of One Shot, of remembering all these small and beautiful things of such a unique and catching story. During all the way of One Shot, you can feel the true love of the team that created it towards this project, and you can see that every detail has had a unique affection, and a total dedication to make this game the total work of art that it is.   I probably won't feel again what I felt the first time with this game ever, but I hope that anyone who came to read this post and play it, feel the same and so continue to share this same feeling and experience, because One Shot beyond looking for you to just play it and then delete it, leave it on your computer or in your Steam library abandoned, because it wants you to remember it, and to keep it that way, as a beautiful memory of such a special world that could only have been imagined by someone with a dream of a world with more people like Niko, and maybe someday it will need another Niko to give it back the light and happiness it lost long ago.  ``` All images are my property. ``` # [Español / Spanish] Hey Hive Gaming! Llevaba ya bastante tiempo inactivo pero ya era hora de volver. Estuve dedicándome a otras cosas en mi vida y dedicando también un tiempo a jugar varios juegos a los que no les dí la oportunidad antes. Uno en específico que jugué hace unos días fue One Shot, y hasta ahora sigo tan maravillado por este juego que de verdad tengo demasiadas ganas de hablar de él, y de verdad merece un mayor reconocimiento del que tiene actualmente, es una experiencia que cualquier persona debería vivir al menos una vez en su vida, aunque sea un jugador común o alguien que nunca ha tocado un videojuego. > ##### [Juego en Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/420530/OneShot/?l=spanish)  One Shot para mí es la total definición de que los videojuegos son una forma de arte, y quién sea capaz de cuestionar ese hecho, lo invito a que pruebe este juego. Siento que después de terminar este juego prácticamente no soy el mismo, y ahora mismo mi vida acaba de dividirse en la etapa "Antes de One Shot" y "Después de One Shot", jamás había jugado a algo que me marcara tanto. Si pudiera hacerlo, perdería la memoria ahora mismo solo para volver a jugarlo y sentir lo que sentí la primera vez que lo jugué, y ahora mismo queda tan solo como un recuerdo para mí, y esto es justamente lo que busca hacerte sentir One Shot.   La historia de One Shot y la forma en la que se presenta ante el jugador trae un aire nostálgico constantemente, y la inmersión que logra es magnífica. Jugar a esto solo me trajo recuerdos de libros de ciencia ficción que llegué a leer de pequeño, y que aún tengo guardados en mi estantería y en mis recuerdos. Esta hermosa historia es perfecta de principio a fin, no tiene ningún error y dentro de su simpleza es lo que la hace tan ingeniosa y única. Es algo similar a Alicia en el País de las Maravillas o juegos como Undertale (Que es prácticamente del mismo estilo que éste), a toda la ambientación se le nota totalmente la inspiración en estos libros de cuentos que llegamos a leer de pequeños, o en alguna caricatura que hayamos visto y aún la recordemos con mucho cariño. One Shot juega constantemente con los recuerdos y la nostalgia, para cautivar a quién este recibiendo esta historia.   Los personajes aunque sean en sí algo simples y no lleguen a ser tan profundos, su propia simpleza los hace cautivadores, y es que nunca había jugado un juego en el que sintiera tanto cariño por cada uno de los NPCs, y este juego ha logrado hacer que me enamore de todas sus cortas historias, que logran darle vida a este pequeño mundo, y hacerlo sentir de verdad real para nosotros, y dentro de esta propia belleza, sentir las ganas de querer salvarlo. One Shot no necesita de peleas o componentes RPG, en este juego de por sí no debes pelear con nadie, su historia solo busca que la logremos comprender sin distraernos en cosas tan básicas como los combates, lo que quiere representar es un mensaje mucho más profundo como juego. La jugabilidad de por sí se basa solo en explorar, buscar ciertos objetos y con propia lógica pues conseguir lo necesario para avanzar de zona y continuar aprendiendo más de esta historia.   One Shot intenta enseñarte que una historia apta para todo público y que puede llegar a jugar hasta un niño, no necesariamente va a ser infantil, ya que dentro de lo que busca contar se ocultan muchos mensajes profundos, que después de jugarlo aún les doy demasiadas vueltas en mi cabeza. No quiero entrar tanto en detalles con la historia, ya que para sentir lo que busca hacerte sentir One Shot, pues debes jugarlo con la mente totalmente en blanco, sin embargo, intentaré explicar un poco nada más por encima para entender por dónde va esto.  Se nos presenta la historia de Niko, un personaje que viene del "Mundo real", al menos su mundo, el que él conoce, en el que los humanos son algo distintos, por ejemplo, se podrán dar cuenta que tiene un aspecto de gato, y esto solo busca nada más meternos más en la historia para comprender muchas cosas, como por ejemplo su personalidad, ya que al igual que un gato, pues Niko es un niño totalmente curioso, alegre, libre e inocente, el cual no conoce lo que es la maldad (Al igual que cualquier niño o gatito pequeño). Niko despierta en un lugar que no conoce, descubriendo poco a poco un mundo que parece creado por sus sueños, y al que fue transportado solo para salvarlo de su inminente destrucción, debido a que el mundo no tiene sol y él es el encargado de devolverle el sol al mundo, y el brillo que necesitan sus habitantes, brillo el cual han perdido hace años junto con sus esperanzas de que su mundo vuelva a ser normal.   A pesar de todo lo malo que ocurre en su mundo, la mayoría de estos habitantes viven aún felices, llevando a cabo cada una de sus tareas y adaptándose a todos estos problemas, conservando las esperanzas de que algún día las cosas se arreglen. Esto es cautivante mientras lo vas profundizando más, especialmente tomando en cuenta muchos países destruidos actualmente, por gobiernos y demás, y a pesar de todas las adversidades, sus habitantes continúan sus vidas, manteniendo aún sus esperanzas porque las cosas mejoren. Constantemente Niko dentro de su inocencia, solo busca ayudar a todos por sentir la necesidad de salvar este mundo que está destinado a salvar, esperando al final de este viaje, poder volver a su aldea con su madre y haber logrado salvar a ese pequeño mundo y su gente, que constantemente buscan ayudarlo de cualquier manera para que logre devolverles a todos el brillo y el calor del sol que ya habían olvidado hace mucho tiempo.   One Shot es un juego que es EXPERTO en romper la cuarta pared, y usar este recurso tan perfectamente que logre encajar totalmente con la historia, al punto de sentirla tan real que ya pase de ser un videojuego, a una experiencia única. Niko se ha vuelto uno de los personajes a los que más cariño le he agarrado jamás, tanto por el amor que tengo por su personalidad y por los gatos, como por haber pasado de ser un simple personaje de un videojuego a convertirse en un ser humano y de verdad compartir sus sentimientos y sentir una conexión real con éste, ya que como mencioné antes, este juego es experto en romper la cuarta pared. Niko durante todo el viaje va a estar hablando con nosotros, y el mundo también, y empezaremos a sentirnos aún más inmersos dentro de esta historia, ya que dejamos de controlar a un NPC que solo se guía por nuestras acciones, sino que él mismo sabe que nosotros tenemos control sobre lo que hace, y eso lo hace sentirse feliz, por saber que no está solo.   El espíritu de curiosidad de Niko es muy contagioso, y aún utilizando el factor de destrozar la cuarta pared, pues muchas veces para resolver ciertos puzzles y avanzar dentro de la historia, deberemos incluso buscar entre archivos dentro de la carpeta del juego, o en otros que coloca dentro de nuestra computadora, con claves para desbloquear alguna puerta o sitio, así como notas con algunas pistas para poder avanzar, y muchas cosas más que no quiero profundizar para que se lleven la sorpresa al jugarlo. La verdad es que esta forma de resolver puzzles nunca antes la había visto en ningún otro juego, y además de hacerlo más divertido, pues lo hace mucho más único. El juego consta de un final, a pesar de que al principio contemos con 2 "finales", lo cierto es que en realidad la historia no acaba en ese punto, y debes usar ese mismo espíritu de curiosidad buscando dentro de los archivos del juego, para encontrar el camino hacia el verdadero final.   El arte del juego, la banda sonora en piano y guitarra, solo transmite un constante aire de calma y nostalgia, y ahora mismo vuelvo a escuchar la banda sonora del juego después de haberlo pasado, y solo tengo ganas de llorar igual que como lloré al terminar de jugarlo, sabiendo el mensaje de One Shot, de recordar todas estas pequeñas y bonitas cosas de una historia tan única y atrapante. Durante todo el camino de One Shot, se siente el verdadero amor del equipo que lo creo hacia este proyecto y es que cada detalle se nota que ha tenido un cariño único, y una dedicación total para lograr convertir a este juego en la total obra de arte que es.   Probablemente no volveré a sentir lo que sentí la primera vez con este juego jamás, pero espero que cualquiera que llegué a leer este post y lo juegue, sienta lo mismo y así continuar compartiendo este mismo sentimiento y experiencia, porque One Shot más allá de buscar que solo lo juegues y luego lo borres, lo dejes en tu computadora o en tu biblioteca de Steam abandonado, pues quiere que lo recuerdes, y que se conserve así, como un recuerdo hermoso de un mundo tan especial que solo pudo haber sido imaginado por alguien con un sueño de un mundo con más personas como Niko, y tal vez que algún día llegue a necesitar a otro Niko para volverle a dar la luz y la felicidad que perdió hace mucho.  ``` Todas las imágenes son de mi propiedad. ``` </center>

Este juego es uno de esos que he escuchado tanto hace tiempo por ese detalle de "solo tienes una oportunidad"; suena bastante prometedor lo que llegue a hacer el juego fuera de sus límites si la historia que trae es tan excelente como lo pintan. Especialmente cuando aún sigue siendo un juego del cual no he tenido ni un solo spoiler sobre los trucos que tiene bajo la manga, a diferencia de Undertale (ya que la ruta genocida se volvió un meme debido a Sans) y Doki Doki Literature Club (el cual con la popularidad que agarró también, es muy difícil encontrar a alguien que no tenga ni la más mínima idea del juego para que funcione efectivamente).

Ojalá que consigas otro juego así. One Shot es precioso, es un juegazo y merece ser jugado por todos los amantes de los videojuegos, específicamente del género Indie. A mi una de las cosas que más me gustó aparte de la historia, es lo hermoso que se ve, sus colores y animaciones pixeladas son HERMOSAAAAAAAAAAS. Yo moriría por conseguir otro juego que me haga sentir así como este, justo como lo describiste hehe
