<div class="text-justify"> Greetings nature lovers, today I want to tell you about my experience when I found this beautiful flower. Luckily I am not a flower cutter because if I had done it I would have had a medical emergency. If you want to know why I invite you to continue reading my post. >Saludos amigos amantes de la naturaleza, hoy les quiero contar mi experiencia al encontrar esta hermosa flor. Por suerte no soy de cortar flores porque de haberlo hecho hubiese tenido una emergencia médica. Si quieres saber el por qué te invito a seguir leyendo mi post.   In a garden near my house, there is a bush with thin leaves. It is a very slender plant and blooms several times a year. Its flowers are fuchsia, very showy that's why when it starts the period where it opens its flowers I like to photograph all its stages. This plant belongs to the <strong><i>Apocynaceae</i></strong> family, which grows very well in subtropical climates. Its scientific name is <strong><i>Nerium oleander</i></strong>, and it is known as Oleander. It is a plant native to the Mediterranean area. However, it is widely distributed in Turkey, Morocco, Iraq, India, Pakistan, China, and America in warm climate zones. >En un jardín cercano a mi casa hay un arbusto de hojas delgadas. Es una planta muy estilizada y florece varias veces al año. Sus flores son fucsia, muy llamativas por eso cuando empieza el período donde abre sus flores me gusta fotografiar todas sus etapas. <br> Esta planta es de la familia <strong><i>Apocynaceae</i></strong>, la cual crece muy bien en climas subtropicales. Su nombre científico es <strong><i>Nerium oleander</i></strong> y es conocida como Adelfa. Es una planta originaria de la zona del Mediterráneo sin embargo se encuentra ampliamente distribuida en Turquía, Marruecos, Irak, India, Pakistán, China y en América en zonas de clima cálido.  Its flowers are so beautiful and showy that this plant is used for ornamental purposes in urbanisms and houses. The flowers I photographed are fuchsia, but they can also be orange, white, yellow, salmon, pink, red, and purple. >Sus flores son tan hermosas y llamativas que esta planta se usa con fines ornamentales tanto en urbanismos como en casas. Las flores que yo fotografíe son de color fucsia pero también las puede haber de color naranja, blanco, amarillo, salmón, rosadas, rojas y moradas.  You can identify it are its elongated green leaves similar to laurel. However, it is a plant that when cutting some of its parts secretes a milky liquid that is irritating to the skin causing erythema and dermal vesicles that take more than a month to heal. It is therefore recommended when working in the garden with this plant to wear protective gloves. Can you imagine if I had cut one of its flowers? >Lo que te ayuda a identificarla son sus hojas de color verde alargadas similares al laurel. Sin embargo es una planta que al cortar algunas de sus partes secreta un líquido lechoso que es irritante de la piel provocando eritemas y vesículas dérmicas que tardan más de un mes en sanar. Por tanto se recomienda cuando se trabaja en el jardín con esta planta usar guantes protectores. ¿Se imaginan si yo hubiese cortado una de sus flores?  <strong><i>Nerium oleander</i></strong> is ranked among the top 20 most poisonous plants worldwide because it has some toxic compounds (Digitoxigenin, Oleandrin, Neriin, Oleondroside) that, when ingested, affect the heart function, the digestive system, and the central nervous system. So if you have pets, be very careful that they get close to this plant because there are records of animals (goats, horses, rabbits, rodents) that have died when they have accidentally consumed some of the parts of this species. >La <strong><i>Nerium oleander</i></strong> está clasificada entre las primeras 20 plantas más venenosas a nivel mundial ya que tiene unos compuestos tóxicos (Digitoxigenina,Oleandrina,Neriina,Oleondrosida) que al ser ingerida afectan la función cardíaca, el Sistema Digestivo y el Sistema Nervioso Central. <br> Por tanto si tienes mascotas, ten mucho cuidado que éstas se acerquen a esta planta ya que hay registros de animales (cabras, caballos, conejos, roedores) que han muerto cuando han consumido de forma accidental alguna de las partes de esta especie.  Nature today leaves me teaching: All its elements are to be enjoyed and admired in their habitat. To have disrespected this plant by cutting some of its flowers would have caused at least one irritation on my hands. So I leave you with more photos of the flowers of this plant without being dangerous. >Como siempre, la naturaleza hoy me deja una gran enseñanza: Todos sus elementos son para disfrutarlos y admirarlos en su hábitat. Haber irrespetado a esta planta cortando algunas de sus flores me hubiese provocado al menos una irritación en mis manos.
