Saludos amigos de la comunidad @holos-lotus, que participan en **Esa Vida Nuestra**.  He cerrado la iniciativa N⁰21, la cual tuvo el curioso nombre de «Cuéntame lo que te cuentas».  Recibí más de cincuenta participaciones, leídas, disfrutadas y comentadas, por lo que procedo a otorgar los puntos Ecency de esta oportunidad y a comentar los aspectos resaltantes de la misma.

Mientras cae un aguacero el comportamiento de la gente obederá a distintas razones, algunas personas solo querrán que no se les moje el cabello, para mantener un tratamiento miento de belleza, otros abrirán los brazos y agradecerán la lluvia, pero otros correrán a esconderse por miedo a un resfrío.  Es posible que pasado el tiempo nadie se enferme, pero también podría ser que quienes más miedo le tenían a la lluvia fueron quienes sintieron los síntomas no deseados.

 Esto he podido constatarlo en personas conocidas o amigas que al sentir los primeros malestares de gripe lo atribuyen a una llovizna.  De igual manera lo leímos aquí, gente que huye de la lluvia y son los primeros que se mojan, y ¿por qué lo hacen? Porque les contaron que si se  mojaban se enfermarían.  

Prácticamente todo lo que nos contamos a nosotros mismos, viene a su vez de otros cuentos que nuestros antepasados recibieron y transmitieron a sus descendientes como una palabra cierta.  Así tenemos un variopinto manojo de historias, algunas alocadas, exageradas y sorprendentes, otras extraordinarias, y ninguna con base científica, pero que la sabiduría popular ha sabido darles fuerza.

En casi todas las  casas existe la historia de un niño que sufrió «mal de ojos», casi se muere y el familiar  escéptico terminó cediendo a la sugerencia o imposición de una abuela: recurrieron al procedimiento mágico y el niño se sanó, quedando así establecidos los pasos para evitar la mala energía de las miradas, que puede ser desde una pócima, una prenda, una oración, una expresión específica y hasta un ritual hecho por un curandero.  

El venezolano tiene también un rico repertorio de expresiones para referirse a males, que presentan los recién nacidos,  por ejemplo que se pongan «pujones»,  por ser tomado en brazos por personas que no cumplen ciertas condiciones, como sacarse el «sereno», antes de ver al niño o por estar en «esos días».  Cabe preguntarse, por esta circunstancia de la diáspora, si se llevan los migrantes sus creencias o estas solo funcionan en tierra venezolana. 

Llamó mucho la atención el meritorio papel que juegan las abuelas en el establecimiento de las creencias populares en sus respectivos hogares, estas instituyen cada creencia, les dan peso y las reafirman en cada núcleo, siendo las responsables de que las mismas no mueran y las tías y primas se convierten en defensoras que continúan la tradición.

Este ejercicio de revisión de estos cuentos, que nos contamos,  trajo también el reconocimiento de ese protocolo interno, con juicios y prohibiciones, mantenido en secreto a lo largo del tiempo, y que forma parte de ese bagaje construido, que cada uno enarbola como su verdad.  

A veces las personas  logran identificar y darse cuenta, cómo han estado sumergidas en creencias erróneas,  con respeto a su manera de verse a sí mismas y a los demás, que le han limitado en distintos aspectos; otras, siguen aferradas a estas ideas.  Esta iniciativa llevaba implícita esa finalidad, reconocer en eso que nos contamos, qué elementos no son ciertos para salir de ellos y tener una vida en paz y en equilibrio.

  I have been able to verify this in people I know or friends who, when they feel the first flu discomfort, attribute it to a drizzle. Virtually everything we tell ourselves comes in turn from other stories that our ancestors received and transmitted to their descendants as a true word. Thus we have a motley bunch of stories, some crazy, exaggerated and surprising, others extraordinary, and none with a scientific basis, but popular wisdom has been able to give them strength.

In almost every house there is a story of a child who suffered "evil eyes", almost died and the skeptical relative ended up giving in to the suggestion or imposition of a grandmother: they resorted to the magical procedure and the child was healed, thus establishing the steps to avoid the bad energy of looks, which can be anything from a potion, a piece of clothing, a prayer, a specific expression and even a ritual done by a healer.

Venezuelans also have a rich repertoire of expressions to refer to illnesses that newborns experience, for example, "pujones" when they are held in the arms of people who do not meet certain conditions, such as removing the "serene" before to see the child or for being on "those days." It is worth asking, due to this circumstance of the diaspora, if the migrants take their beliefs with them or if they only work on Venezuelan soil.

A lot of attention was drawn to the meritorious role that grandmothers play in the establishment of popular beliefs in their respective homes. They establish each belief, give them weight and reaffirm them in each nucleus, being responsible for ensuring that they do not die and that the aunts and cousins become defenders who continue the tradition.

Sometimes people manage to identify and realize how they have been immersed in erroneous beliefs, regarding their way of seeing themselves and others, which have limited them in different aspects; others continue clinging to these ideas. This initiative implicitly had that purpose, to recognize in what we tell ourselves, what elements are not true in order to get out of them and have a life in peace and balance.
