We're excited to announce the launch of a new **Hive onboarding app** called **Check in With** — a fast and human-centered way to bring new people to Hive using real rewards and **no KYC (Know Your Customer)** requirements.

What Is It?
-----------

**Check in With** is a **Proof of Person onboarding system** where **Trusted Onboarders** verify real people with a simple selfie. Once approved, each new user instantly receives:

*   **2 HBD** to their Hive wallet
    
*   **~$1 USD in BTC (sats)** to their [V4V.app](https://v4v.app) account
    

From there, users begin the **#JourneyofaHivean** — a series of educational tasks that help them learn and engage with Hive. Each task is completed through a blog post and earns support from major Hive stakeholders.

1.  **Find someone who wants free crypto**
    
    Ask: _"Would you like to earn stablecoins (HBD) or Bitcoin (sats)?"_
    

2\. **Help them install the Hive Keychain app**

The app works **exclusively** inside the **Keychain app's internal browser** under the "Social" section — look for **CheckinWith**.  

3\. **Create their Hive account**

We recommend that you use [Hive Keychain](https://hive-keychain.com/) and the "onboard with a friend" method. You'll need:

*   **3 liquid HIVE** (or an Account Creation Token)
    
*   **15 HP** (or sufficient RCs) to delegate so they can post
    

4\. **Go to the internal browser inside of Hive Keychain and go to "Checkinwith.xyz in the Social part of the browser and take a selfie with them**

*   The user's face doesn't have to be fully visible, but the photo must show a real person
    
*   Include a short intro: name, city, and interests
    
*   The post will be auto-tagged with `#introduceyourself` and `#checkin`
    

5\. **Approve the check-in**

*   Reply to the introduction post. This step is **required** for the system to trigger the rewards.
    
*   Alternatively, if the Trusted on-boarder (see initial list below) is logged into [checkinwith.xyz](http://checkinwith.xyz "http://checkinwith.xyz") you can go to the burger menu and click on "Pending Approvals" where you can hit a button and send a standardized comment to the new user which is customisable
    

6\. **The system does the rest**

*   A comment from @threespeakselfie will appear with additional task instructions where the user can earn for learning about how to use Hive dapps
    
*   Each completed task earns upvotes and exposure
    
*   The user receives **2 HBD** and 1 USD of **BTC** Lightning Sats shortly afterward the approval comment is made
    

7\. **Outstanding users may receive Hive Power delegations**

This helps them stay active and grow within the ecosystem. We hope that this increases user retention and call for other whales to support this system with upvotes on the #checkin tag and on the pioneer supporter feed below:
